His charges are not demonstrably true either, in fact they remain speculative allegations, and therefore his actions on the basis of allegations are indeed worthy of censure. Are Haqqani's charges demonstrably false, or are you calling him a traitor because he reveals embarrassing truths and that makes you angry? Can you point to an instance where you criticized the specifics of what Haqqani said?
Secondly, evenif his allegations about Pakistan obtaining missile technology prohibited by the MTCR were true, his tirade against Pakistan ignores the fact that the technology was obtained for defensive purposes, as a counter to the Indian development of nuclear weapons and acquisition of missiles. Pakistan, as a State, did not proliferate to other nations either missile technology prohibited by the MTCR, or nuclear technology (in the latter case even if we had we would not be in violation of anything given that Pakistan is not an NPT signatory.
Certainly Pakistan's rulers have aye their part in not resolving the issues facing Pakistan, but so have external actors. In any case, this s irrelevant to the point about Haqqani badmouthing his country on the basis of unsusbtantiated allegations outside of public office, and badmouthing his country and thatening to reveal State secrets in order to blackmail the GOP into letting him keep his job.Over and over again, Pakistan's miseries can be traced back to decisions made by Pakistanis. We are the ones being twisted around your rulers' fingers, not the other way 'round.
Why should we prosecute Bangladeshis? There were East Pakistanis that deserved prosecution for treason and terrorism in 1971, and some of the were in fact executed for those crimes in 1971, but that is in the past now. While you're at it, wouldn't you like to prosecute Bangladeshi diplomats for "treason", too?
