Our Disgusting Ambassador Haqqani

Are Haqqani's charges demonstrably false, or are you calling him a traitor because he reveals embarrassing truths and that makes you angry? Can you point to an instance where you criticized the specifics of what Haqqani said?
His charges are not demonstrably true either, in fact they remain speculative allegations, and therefore his actions on the basis of allegations are indeed worthy of censure.

Secondly, evenif his allegations about Pakistan obtaining missile technology prohibited by the MTCR were true, his tirade against Pakistan ignores the fact that the technology was obtained for defensive purposes, as a counter to the Indian development of nuclear weapons and acquisition of missiles. Pakistan, as a State, did not proliferate to other nations either missile technology prohibited by the MTCR, or nuclear technology (in the latter case even if we had we would not be in violation of anything given that Pakistan is not an NPT signatory.
Over and over again, Pakistan's miseries can be traced back to decisions made by Pakistanis. We are the ones being twisted around your rulers' fingers, not the other way 'round.
Certainly Pakistan's rulers have aye their part in not resolving the issues facing Pakistan, but so have external actors. In any case, this s irrelevant to the point about Haqqani badmouthing his country on the basis of unsusbtantiated allegations outside of public office, and badmouthing his country and thatening to reveal State secrets in order to blackmail the GOP into letting him keep his job.
While you're at it, wouldn't you like to prosecute Bangladeshi diplomats for "treason", too?
Why should we prosecute Bangladeshis? There were East Pakistanis that deserved prosecution for treason and terrorism in 1971, and some of the were in fact executed for those crimes in 1971, but that is in the past now.

He claimed that Hatf-IIs were a violation of the MTCR and this is factually inaccurate.

Very subjective, borderline poetry, so nothing for me to respond to.

I fail to see the connection, but given your usual deflections and assumptive accusations, it doesn't surprise me to see you (mis)behaving again.

.
You got your money back but how my Pakistan would be able to bear the treachery of these traitors.

Yeah but i didn't know he was like that and I hardly knew who he was.

I was like, "Oh a Pakistani ambassador to USA? This should be a good read."

Derp, i was wrong

An ambassador is always on duty. One who does not speak for his government is an oxymoron and should be recalled. Yet this hasn't happened. We Americans have to assume, therefore, that what he says is what the GoP wants him to say - that we are to believe these allegations without proof, but with the reputation of the entire Government of Pakistan behind him.

This is an issue for Pakistanis to sort out, not Americans.

Sometimes i feel Hussain Haqqani and Zalmay Khalilzad are twin brothers ...

In a country in which a president earns his power through American mediation and only those people make it up to the stage who are hand chosen or at least are in harmony with America than what can be expected from an Ambassador to US , if he wont then there always will be an opportunist who will be waiting to rise up to the Opportunity.

Sometimes i wonder is Pakistan one of the states of US...!

.
We might have been better if we had been the 51st state of the US... Even an official colony... like the little Asian part of the US, the rest of which being in North America...

One of our useless Mullahs whom we call Fazool on this forum actually invited the American Ambassador to Pakistan Ms Ann to dinner and asked her if she could arrange American blessings for him to become the PM of Pakistan...

Master of Puppets I m pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams!!!

hey Sol

re last comment.. I would say no..
we have accepted the event and now have diplomatic relations with Bangladesh

basically you wont understand why we are getting too emotional here.
let me put it that way.. you see there was a lot of anger among your south when Obama bowed to the Japanese King yea?
something about pride?

so this Haqanni chap is basically insulting his country of origin and his own race..
one wonders where does he sees his current hosts.

re twisting fingers.. I understand what you are saying.. although I will add.. "its debatable".. there us two are victims of shotgun marriage in my opinion.. although I genuinly want the people of our two countries to see beyond the leaders and for a change look at the half full glass too.

re treason comment, I think same kind of emotions were shown by your right wing media and politicians about Julian Assange.. (what do you say?)

anyways.. we are already making an effort here.. you and some other American members add colour to this forum and its nice to have people with different take on things.

WRT his comments about the MTCR violation etc. I don't believe he was ambassador at that time.

WRT his comments while ambassador, such as the ones in Woodward's book, he should be removed from his post, but likely wont for the reasons mentioned in an earlier post.

.
Well he speaks the HARD, BITTER and UNPALATABLE TRUTH.

I have read the book and it's an interesting account of propaganda machine that works in Pakistan.

On the other hand, diplomacy can't work by issuing BELLICOSE statements as done in our streets, internet forums, barber shops and drawing rooms.

He is the perfect man for the job.

.
He sounds like a PIMP in action trying to sell a night with his asset

Disgusting person to be in position of an Ambasaddor

We need Imran Khan , Musharif back to deal with American in proper manner
