Osama Dead. Obama Confirms.

WRT the 'raiding the compound in 2003' bit, the Pakistani FO official statement clears up the mistake IMO:

The Pakistani FO's official statement mentions 2003, but in a different context:

Abbottabad and the surrounding areas have been under sharp focus of intelligence agencies since 2003 resulting in highly technical operation by ISI which led to the arrest of high value Al Qaeda target in 2004. As far as the target compound is concerned, ISI had been sharing information with CIA and other friendly intelligence agencies since 2009. The intelligence flow indicating some foreigners in the surroundings of Abbottabad, continued till mid April 2011. It is important to highlight that taking advantage of much superior technological assets, CIA exploited the intelligence leads given by us to identify and reach Osama bin Ladin, a fact also acknowledged by the U.S. President and Secretary of State, in their statements. It is also important to mention that CIA and some other friendly intelligence agencies have benefited a great deal from the intelligence provided by ISI. ISI's own achievements against Al Qaeda and in War on Terror are more than any other intelligence agency in the World.

So the official in the BBC report either misquoted, misinterpreted or misstated in the original interview.

Now in general thinking there are two revolving outputs,

1. Operation conducted by US special forces & Pakistan was informed but only top high level military officials, (COAS, ACM, DISI, JCOSC & NA) in result of some commitments.

2. US conduct operation with top secrecy where Pakistan was totally kept in dark.

First case looks more nearer to reality where possibility of military action without Pakistan knowledge quite unrealistic.
Second case could be red alarming situation for Pakistan and for the safety of its strategic assets where US & India could follow further for their own evil purposes.

Where I think there are 0 % chances for second case.

There is no need to thanks Obama because this operation could be conducted by Pakistani special forces too with top secrecy but Obama needed that style of operation so every side gain their required political & strategical interests or mutual benefits.

Then why the hell they didn't.

It would have been much easier and less embarrassing for Pakistan if they could have killed or captured OBL and handed him over to the Americans in the Pakistan-Afghanisthan Border and then create some & bull story for the world press. It would have been a win-win situation for Pakistanis and Americans. Americans will get their man and Pakistan could have emerged as the unwavering ally in the fight against terrorism. Even a school kid would tell you that.

But this didn't happen as the Pakistanis were kept out of the loop for the entire time.

Most horrible day of my life. Media , people , army , elites everyone is so depressed I am feeling ashamed. musharraf asking for sovereignty while he was the one who allowed US inside Pakistan. He allowed CIA to operate from every Pakistani airports. Idiot!:hitwall:

Harboring bin laden within Pakistan has made Pakistan, not U.S., now the biggest target for blame.

Trust me, musharraf has no choice but let U.S. operate within Pakistan for its WOT. Otherwise, U.S. and India will work together towards Pakistan economically and militarily. It will be way more miserable for Pakistan if that happens. Even China cannot do much to relieve Pakistan from that.

AMERICAN believe that Osama was killed in Pakistan (LOL) not surprised..

Well they are even believe that Aliens exist at Area-51, WWE is real and Elivs was taken by aliens hahaha so believe on Osama death .... nothing special lol

The reason behind the hasty burial at sea provided by the US is BS. They could have used any number of reasons to delay disposal of the body for a few days and keep it on the carrier, and invited international journalists and officials to validate the identity.

I think U.S. has already taken away enough evidence from his body, e.g. blood sample, part of the body and etc before dumping his remaining for the sharks or flies.

Hey i heard bharatis are saying dawood ibrahim has become second most wanted man bwahahahaha

damn dawood you beat Zawahiri hehehe

Well, whoever he is, he just steps on a faster track to HELL.

:P :P :P and they took the blood samples for ????

lolzzz that is NO hard evidence . we are still waiting for the release of pictures as promised by US . or they still trying to make up perfect images ??

Again, the construction of the residence was nothing out of the ordinary in Pakistan:

Another shifting narrative concerned the property itself. Up close, Bin Laden's house, a tall, unlovely piece of architecture, towering over the policemen guarding the gate, was not quite the million dollar mansion described by officials. The walls were high, certainly, but not unusually so for north-western Pakistan, where privacy is jealously guarded. The paint was peeling, there was no air conditioning.

Well, just like what was done related to those Nazis, U.S. may have already cut off his head, hands, feet for preservation for future uses, e.g. identification. Then U.S. dumps the remaining for sharks and flies.

Or U.S. simply dumped something else into the sea and keep his in some secret places.

i was arguing with a US security analyst last night over this very fact. they were calling the poorly structured house as Luxury mansion worth $1 billion whereas as far i know that land and house is hardly of Rs50 lakh. i know this because half of my family is hazara division and i tell you such houses in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and in that area are NOT at all unusual of luxury.

it was poorly built house and a huge boundary wall just to mark the land nothing else

he is dead for sure but when he died that is the main question.

If there is really any ISI involvement in this operation, why don't you ask your government to order ISI to release the inside information? BTW, ask ISI whether it will revise its statement about when OBL died actually???
