Opinionated - Chechen fighters in the battle of Kyiv and the new world order

@Joe Shearer @Irfan Baloch @PanzerKiel @HRK @gambit @The Eagle @SQ8

Do you guys think that US wanted Russia to attack Ukarine, knowing they won't help and Ukarine cannot defend? Perhaps, a repeat of what US suffered in Afg? As war may protect Russia interests but will make it weaker, sanctioned and suffered.
Or it is a calculated move that US is busy in Pacific so let's deflate the NATO bubble and also expand Russian influence in the hood.
Should we discuss it in a thread?
I can't comment as I really have not studied this region and my knowledge is very shallow.

These are not the old Chechens, these are the new thugs of Kadyrov. There are tons of chechen volunteers on the Ukrainian side and a chechen pretender in exile has already offered support for Ukraine I believe.

I think it was just ineptitude.
I think it is the pusillanimous response of a president who should never have been elected to this position, being totally senile and incompetent.
I think, speaking as an historian, that I am lucky to have lived to see the end of the British Empire, of the Soviet Empire, and now, of the American Empire.
I am reminded that American intelligence (leaving out the oxymoron jokes that are tiresome after a while) has been consistent, for the best part of a century now. It has been consistently wrong, it has been consistently wicked.
I should also like to hear from @PanzerKiel and @gambit; would they agree that the US has not won a war since 1945?
Finally, from thinking that it was collusion between the Chinese and the Russians, I have begun to feel that China - almost as much as India - is totally flummoxed about the situation, and has no clue about what to do next. I was extrapolating it to mean that Taiwan would be a target next, but was vehemently opposed by @Nilgiri, who stated quite bluntly that Chinese culture and administration was completely against this. I don't know....

Do make it a thread. Please consider this my first note in it.
For starter, I do not subscribe to the convenient expansion of the word 'empire' to say that there is an 'American Empire'. Maybe am too old school. If there is a 'one-world' government, which many UN supporters believe there should be, can we use the current widen scope of 'empire' to say that there is the 'Terran Empire'? :enjoy:

Anyway...There are two equally important components to any war: political and military. The Pols sets the goals, and the Military plans the steps and execute. The US military excels at the latter and that is all ANY military should be doing. If the Military fails, did it failed because of incompetence and/or from impossible goals? Unfortunately, sometimes we do receive impossible goals and the Military always pay the price. Do I think it is unfair? Yes, I do. The US military always completed its half of the calculus of war.

So if it make people feel good to say the US have 'lost' every war since 1945, let'em.

Seeing videos of Neo-Nazi battalion of Ukraine Army coating their bullets with pg fat.. Both sides have fvcked up.. Totally unnecessary war world economy could have done without. Now every country will be forced to increase their defence budget and social security budget will be hit..

"How do you defeat an enemy who looks into the barrel of a gun and sees paradise?" - Anonymous Russian Commander, Fighting the Chechens Mujahideen

Apparently you make them your ally, Putin is a genious.
Putin is generous to be more specific. Billions of oil/gas money, feed Chechen. The money flow keeps Kadyrov ruling.

Any time a Muslim picks up a gun he doesn't become a Mujahid. They are mercanaries. Nothing wrong with that of course - they are being paid to fight. Russia is now an ally of Chechnya, but let's not put a religious spin on thier involvement. It is money and politics - which is no bad thing.
Correct but why the f are they fighting for Russia against Ukraine ? Not their war

As put eloquently by many here - the word Mujahid - one involved in struggle .. cannot be applied to these fighters.

As for their input - they are decent fighters so moscow is best placed to use them as cannon fodder or harassing squads based on skill sets.

From Afghanistan to Ukraine the West is on the retreat and with the alliance of Muslim Mujahidin certainly the odds are in the favour of the anti Western alliance(Russia and China). The audacity shown by Putin will certainly send shock waves to Taiwan and India, as Xi might be contemplating moves of its own. PM Imrans visit to Moscow will have far reaching effects for good in our region.

The WEST seems to be on the retreat because it in the process to regroup and reposition itself for global affairs. Retreat from Afghanistan was logical in this scope.

1. NATO will expand further with Kosovo and Finland looking forward to join this bloc in view of developments in Ukraine.

2. Russia and Belarus will be heavily penalized for assaulting Ukraine - a lot have happened already but effects will take time to show.

NATO might build and shape Ukranian insurgency as well. There are already reports of weapons and volunteers pouring in.

3. China does not want to pick sides in the NATO-Russia-Ukraine situation.

Wait for the dust to settle.

in my view both the UK and USA provoked the Russians and ultimately got what they wanted.
they continue to antagonize the Russians through their involvement in Georgia and Ukraine.
Putin's attack on Ukraine was a trap which Russia fell knowing that it was a trap.
Now Russia must avoid a protracted war in the Urban areas.
take out the Ukrainian pro Western regime and replace it with its like minded leadership.

Hi,

Since 1945 the US has changed the mindset about " winning a war ".

They are NO MORE into winning a war in the conventional sense.
.

They have brought something new to the table---a war with tremendous damage inflicted to the opponent and when the enemy gets neutered, then just step back and walk away.

1. vietnam: even decades after war ended---vietnam was no more capable to fight a war after decades. It may severely be hindered mentally

2. Iraq---a nation decimated by 2 wars may think 10 time to get in a war in the next 30-40 years

4. syria---is in the history books

5. Libya is in the history books

The wars that have not been fought on US soil----technically are not wars in the old warfare sense.

What is happening now and the way the wars are being fought---is the new face of war.

I say again----US military machine is something that MONSTERS IN YOUR NIGHTMARES are made out of---a ruthless killer---a brutal invader---an endless destroyer and all that happens is on YOUR SOIL
