Opinion: China should support Russia in Donbas revolutionary war

Because Russia has 4 times the population of Ukraine, the only way the West can keep Donbas revolutionary war going is to keep sending more and more military hardware to Ukrainian army. This gives China the ability to deplete all of America's military hardware in Donbas, including all of America's F-16, A-10, and so on and so forth. This mean, America will have no military hardware left when China is ready to invade Taiwan 10 to 20 years from now when China has 10 aircraft carrier strike groups and therefore when that time comes, as the saying goes, saving the best for last, the West cannot protect Taiwan anymore, not only because the West would have by that time depleted all of their military hardware in Donbas, the West would have decayed to the point of very weak due to liberalism. So, from China's perspective, backing Russia in Donbas revolutionary war is the smart choice.

Russia recognizes the independence of Donetsk and Lugansk, which makes China unable to support Russia.

China believes that only with the consent of the central govt and the UNSC can any region achieve independence by voting. Any regional independence must follow the East Timor model. East Timor voted for independence only after it was approved by the central govt of Indonesia and the UNSC.

China also does not support Western sanctions against Russia. Therefore, it is better to say that China does not support either side than that China supports Russia.


BTW: China has its own agenda for the Taiwan issue, we will not use the Ukrainian war to deal with the Taiwan issue. Taiwan people are Chinese people, they have the same blood as us. Yup, I see it will be a long war, depending how long Putin can grab Russian politics. This economic mess will likely to stay at least another 3-4 years. Oil, gas, and coal price will likely to stay high for another 5 years. The situation will get a bit better if Western sanction on Iran is relaxed or hopefully eliminated.

Donbas revolutionary war depletes America's military hardware much faster than America can replenish. Within a few months, America would have to send thousands of M1A2, Apache helicopters, F-16 jets, A-10 jets to fight Russia in Donbas. Russia has 4 times the population of Ukraine. Ukraine would lose in Donbas without American military hardware.
