Mod,you closed my thread due to the irrational anger of certain posters. Let me clarify here:
This is the Italian CIRA a brand new short range radar using microphones
"Compared with traditional radars, acoustic systems offer a number of advantages including lower costs, lack of electromagnetic pollution, the ability to detect objects with low radar signature (Stealth aircraft, semi-hidden or low-flying objects). To the military it offers the additional advantage of being passive, therefore non-detectable."

A decade ago Almaz Antey,makers of the deadly S series SAMs stated:
"These VHF radars can detect aircraft constructed using stealth technology," Viktor Ozherelev, a division head at Almaz-Antey, claimed at a 2007 arms show. "The Americans know their stealth program has failed."

As I mentioned on the closed thread Belarus intended to sell Saddam a working mid range system just before the invasion;btw they may have been fronting for the Russians.
With this in mind can we still trust in the infallibility of the 'stealth' idea? Especially when the 'stealthy' f35 is short legged with only a 1200 k range and needs external drop tanks.
Why should this annoy anyone-Yes,I've done some research and I'm no expert. Mod,if you think this a troll thread please close.
