In 1962 the Pentagon and the CIA were desperate for a war with Cuba. How desperate? Desperate enough to plan attacks against American bases, equipment and personnel. Desperate enough to dress up American trained Cubans as Communists to make the attacks on American bases. Desperate enough to manufacture an airplane that looked like a Russian MiG to shoot down an American airliner.

Why?

"The desired resultant from the execution of this plan would be to place the United States in the apparent position of suffering defensible grievances from a rash and irresponsible government of Cuba and to develop an international image of a Cuban threat to peace in the Western Hemisphere."
And you think that the United States wouldn’t do this or worse to control the largest remaining untapped oil reserves in the world, along with more than half of the world’s heroin trade?

I didn’t know about any such operation until few hours back…It’s a shame that how far few people can go to achieve their objectives….And all this is coming from a country that considers herself champion of World Peace, No 1 democracy, indeed sainthood and title holder of Human Rights bla bla….

Although I had few ambiguities in my mind regarding 9/11 but never questioned them earlier and always believed that it wasn’t an inside job …BUT…having read this whole document ,I now have my serious doubt about the credibility of the official 9/11 version…anything is possible..

The full document (in pdf) is here…http://www.fromthewilderness.com/free/ww3/11_20_01_northwoods.pdf

CIA was humiliated when their trained exiles were quickly eliminated by Castro at Bay of Pigs in 1961. I guess they were looking for any way into Cuba.
Wait for Bush to leave office and you will see some reports starting to come out over 9/11. Overall the Pentagon,CIA and Defense Contractors gained a lot from 9/11. Big Bush's companies.

I guess PAK was also paid some after 9/11 but right now we are in some serious DOODOO.

The name of the website says it all: "from the wilderness". That's where you go to find your cockamamie conspiracy theories, I guess. :usflag:

This reminds me of the Bay of Pigs incident, the United States trying to overthrow Communist rule in Cuba has been a long held goal of the CIA.

You decide if its cockamamie or not. Interestingly enough, the actual document has been declassified now but it was circulated and was part of the discussions that took place within the US national security apparatus.

Operation Northwoods - Full Text of document

See the scanned pages from the document on the left side. Maybe someone spent the time typing up this trash!? :P, however governments do weird things...until and unless we go the way of Brittany Spears who was under the impression that we should always trust whatever Bush does or says, things of this nature are not impossible.

the CIA is much-maligned in the US also, but i doubt if they can pull something like 9/11.

Soooooooo, maybe the US system of openness allows past errors of judgment and stupidity to be exposed, so that the US people and government learn not to do the same dumb things in the future??? Maybe the US system is not so bad after all? Can the Pak "system and society" claim the same openness? What say you?

Rahman, Sir, As I have told other posters, I am a native born American from Arlington, Virginia, home of both Robert E. Lee and the Arlington National Cemetery, where hundreds of thousands of proud American service men are buried. I have lived in the USA all my life and currently reside in Southern Virginia near the greatest naval base in the world.
