Operation Mosul- Updates & Discussions

Lol your a joke. Comparing artificial Iraq to us is the biggest insult. To make you happy let's go and start wars right? How stupid can someone be its unbelievable.

All countries are artificial. However if you look at the ME region all of Iraq's neighbors have a completely different history and identity. Historically Arabia, Persia, Mesoptamia and the Levant have been their own for thousands of years, Iraq could be seen as occupying the heartland of Mesopotamia thus.. that explains it further. The same way Saudi Arabia holds Arabia and Iran holds Persia.

Pal your country is in ruins, you have no unity, a quarter of your country is semi independent, isis with their Toyota trucks ran over Iraq army with thousands of tanks and humvees and helicopters. At the moment we are fighting inside borders in East, in Iraq with cross border operations and helping fsa at the same time, all this a couple months after the coup when more than 10k soldiers and half the top tier generals left and so many pilots gone.

Ok everyone tomorow we going to fight a country our size tomorow to please this f1000 member.

Seriously though comparing our military history to most countries in the world is incomparable. Not having much wars is actually the achievement that you don't seem to understand. It's called deterrence, but i doubt you will understand. Wars don't bring anything in this century other than destruction.

I didn't call for war.
Iraq doesn't have thousands of tanks, they had less than 250 operational tanks in 2014.

Military history... Did you notice I said modern wars, all middle eastern countries have a long military history.

If you are already at a war don't be foolish enough to threaten a much more powerful country with war.
Turkey could've taken all of Cyrpus if it wanted to, ofcourse it's a smaller and much weaker state but that is not the reason why Turkey invaded it in the first place?

In todays modern warfare tanks are extremely vulnerable, multiple Russian tanks have even been taken out by ATGMS (not talking about Syrian T-90's). Multiple Iraqi M1 Abrams taken out by ISIS SVBIED's and ATGMS as well.

War on PKK would've ended years ago, but thanks to funding from other nations they are still up and running! (How do they acquire crap loads of ATGMS and MANPADS?). Guerrilla warfare is different from an actual war. It's all hit and run after they catch you offguard (just like Soviets getting stomped by guerilla-style warfare from taliban).

I didn't threaten, you're the so called brave wolf that's going to chew us up.

Tanks are vulnerable for sure, I bet you would've denied that before Turkish intervention in Syria and blamed the tank destructions in Iraq and Syria on incompetence of tank crews despite some being labeled successful by the US coalition themselves, which I can link but it doesn't matter here.

The PKK monkeys acquired MANPADS and ATGM's thanks to erdogans policies, his policies might benefit Turkey's strength externally but is costly in the way of life's of your troops.

You said in modern wars. We didn't have any large wars since the Republic which is a good thing, which is a thing Atatürk strived for when he said peace at home, peace in the world. I hope our neighbours was peaceful too but it ain't. Our aims are never to have wars which is a waste of economic resource and lives. Anyways even putting them stuff aside upto now we have been successful in our aims and objectives to a great extent in modern times.

Peace is good.

I'm merely responding to nationalistic stronk stuff and wrong allegations made

No actually, I expected our Tanks to be hit 100%, how can you enter a warzone with 1000 ATGM's everywhere pointing at every single vehicle and not expect to be hit? Win some - lose some.

And I never said YOU threatened us with war, the Iraqi government did, but trust me buddy if Iraq really wants that we are ready to give them as much as they want.

Gov threatened with a military response when invaded, isn't that the case with any country? That's normal, unlikely that an actual invasion will occur

What invasion? Are we bombing your cities and hospitals like the U.S? Only 500 troops were stationed their to train fighters. How many U.S bases and soldiers stationed in Iraq?

Turkey has every right to protect itself and will intervene in Mosul if we HAVE to do so.

T

That's not what I said

The gov threatened with a military response when invaded, this was after TAF massed in Silopi, they didn't threaten with military response for the Bashiqa deployment.

US troops are there with gov approval and request.

Ok mr pres

I just find it funny how foreign U.S nation invades your country, steals all your resources, kills thousands of your innocent civilians, destabilizes your country, and then gets your government to approve their stay :D ! But when Turkey masses in Silopi it's a big problem?

Your country is a mess my friend, and you know which nation is responsible for that.

Such things can happen when a lunatic dictator (Saddam) is in power. But again you're wrong, the SOFA (Status of Forces Agreement) of 2011 wasn't extended as Maliki wanted the US out, thus they left. Their return in small numbers since was upon another invitation, they're only present on bases however.

Your country is a mess my friend, and you know which nation is responsible for that.
I could make a guess about some neighbors for the growth of IS, but you might know

EITHER WAY, this is going on for too long and heading nowhere, bye.

So, 20 tanks and 40 IFV is enough to scare you guys? It seems like Iraqis are not though as they speak. Seriously, how many days did you resist against US invasion? 60 days? 50 days? 40?

All that is known is that a statement was made stating a response if invaded after such rumors.

as I said all i'll get is useless responses like these

You are funny, maybe you Iraqis should be comedians instead of fighters because you clearly suck at that job.
Well so far we are doing great we've beaten isis and it's supporters and we going to beat you soon.

we've beaten isis

Great news our forces surprise isis by appearing in the center of mosul.

Good job fighting ISIS, no one's complaining about that. But you need to know when to give other nations some credit as well, no one is putting up a bigger fight against ISIS in Syria other than Turkey.

And no you haven't beaten ISIS, here is some footage of ISIS SVBIED's whiping out Iraqi armor and troops.

I am not posting this to promote ISIS propaganda, only to show that you are not victorious yet, you guys want to talk about 2-3 Turkish tanks being destroyed by ATGM's, well you can find a lot more of the Iraqi version lol.
