Singapore had one fatal flaw on their military industry complex, they don't build everything on their country, most parts is subcontracted into foreign firms. This happened because the lacks of footprints caused by the small land area they are possessing. On other hands, Indonesia is trying to build everything in the house......including propellants, petrochemical components, metal industry, wire industry, electronic industry, aviation industry, engines industry and so on....

Both, BD and Myanmar had the chance to build everything on their own

I dont think BD will go Indonesian way (which is ideal) and our defense industry will remain minimal.

Yeah but SG is a lot more integrated into the global economy and has a very friendly relationship with both the U.S. and China so they can offset their lack of space by contracting out the work without incurring the risks another country might.

We have HQ-16 ( LY-80e ) medium range self-propelled surface to air missile

We have Pechora 2M medium range stationary/mobile self propelled surface to air missile

and FM-90 short range air defence system ( SHORAD )

And thousands Anti-Air guns

And last line of defence is the tens of thousands of MANPADS

lol do u know what is that..!? that's ukrainian made 3D 36D6 M rader which is currently used in Vietnam Army's S-300 PMU1.. that rader is found in Myanmar.. that's why just asking evidence to S-300PMU1.. did i claim that we have S-300..? it's very closer than just taking photo before wish list AD in somewhere of exhabition.. lol
the one u showed is that rader system found on Yangon Road...
here is currently operating in Myanmar Army..

It's a small island of 3million people, Madoka. And they have the most technologically advanced defence industry in SE Asia. They'll never churn out thousands of tanks like the Soviet Union did but reaching the level of someone like Israel will be very impressive.

I never laughed at the idea of BD getting subs because a lot of credible sources indicate that you have indeed bought a couple of subs. But they have not been delivered. You don't even know how operational they will be. Your Banghabandu sat unused for years because you didn't have the resources or expertise to operate it, remember?

You have to remember that most of you guys on here lie and lie a lot and that's why I never take the BD section seriously. Remember when guys here said you were buying SA-17/BUK? Or that you were close to buying Su-30's? It's all nonsense. If there are any credible sources to say you have/ have ordered HQ-16 or Pechora 2M then please share.

Anyway, here is a helpful spotters guide to medium range air defence systems. Tell us when you see one:
