Originally, Micromaxsourced all its mobile phones from China. However, since April 2014, they have started manufacturing mobile phones and tablets at their facility in Rudrapur , Uttrakhand. So I hope revenue ssharewill increase for them.

Yes, I have it. I'd say go for it if you're planning to. The device feels premium, works like a charm and doesnt burn a hole in your pocket. So thats nice eh? But xiaomi has permanently suspended mi3's sale in India.

India should stop importing Chinese phones and selling them rebranded as Indian phones。

India must make its own phones from the ground up，starting with the most basic of components。

In India, yes. They're appropriating resources towards production of Mi4, which is to launched in India by the end of this year or early next year. They claim they have limited resources and that's the best they can do.

Not sure, I read in news articles that they are manufacturing rather than assembling.

Even wikipedia says the same, although its not a reliable source.

Given the track record of Micromax I guess they are assembling rather than manufacturing.

Trust me, its time to get rid off your prejudice against Chinese manufacturers. I have a Mi3 myself and I absolutely love it.



I wouldn't say it beats Xiaomi 'hands down'. Unless you were comparing it with Mi3, which is not supposed to compete with one plus one, but rather the likes of Moto G.

Mi4's more appropriate to compare this with.

A CCP party worker collecting the data and finds your gf's video and posts it in china is a real threat. in real life, people are stupid. Can it not happen with US ? chances are less. They have been at tis game the longest.
