Oman asks Pak, India to improve relations
Dubai, Dec 27 (PTI) Oman today asked Pakistan and India to improve their relations as the fraternal ties between the two neighbours were in the region''s interest.
During a meeting with Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Oman''s Sultan Qaboos bin Sa`id, at his Palace in Muscat, said the fraternal ties between India and Pakistan were in the region''s interest.
70-year-old Sultan, known as a founder of the modern Oman, also asked the two countries to resume composite dialogue, the APP reported.
The two leaders discussed regional situation and the measures taken by Pakistan to address its economic and security challenges in the wake of terrorism and extremism.
They also discussed a whole gamut of regional issues regarding Afghanistan, India, Iran, Iraq and Palestine.
