The Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, on 27 March 2012 received at his office a high-level delegation of representatives of the Kashmiri people under the leadership of H.E. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq , Chairman of the All Parties Huriyet Conference. The Secretary General expressed the continued support of the OIC for the aspirations of the Kashmiri people for self-determination and finding a peaceful solution to the more than six decades – old Jammu and Kashmir problem.

Earlier, the kashmiri delegation had held a meeting with the OIC’s Special Representative on the Jammu and Kashmir conflict, H.E. Ambassador Abdullah Abdul Rahman Alim, Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs. The two sides discussed many issues relating to the Jammu-Kashmir conflict, most prominently the human rights situation in the India-administered part of Kashmir.

They also discussed the need to strengthen the work of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir. Ambassador Alim reiterated the principled position of the OIC on supporting the people of Jammu and Kashmir to exercise their legitimate right to self-determination. He stated that the OIC would continue to make efforts to give effect to various diplomatic and political tools at OIC meetings and the international fora with a view to finding negotiated and sustainable solution to the Kashmir crisis.

For his part, the Chairman of the All Parties Huriyet Conference during the meeting expressed his gratitude to the OIC Special Representative on Jammu and Kashmir for his untiring efforts aimed at getting the parties to the conflict engaged in constructive dialogue that would ultimately end the plight of the Jammu and Kashmir people and negotiate peacefully on a final solution to the conflict that would meet the aspiration of the Jammu and Kashmir people.

good for you but we will still get what is rightfully ours

India also supports the aspirations of Kashmiri people.

However, India believes that the best ones to represent these aspirations are those chosen by Kashmiri people themselves in elections.

They have far more legitimacy over the command of the aspirations of the Kashmiri people than do the kiraye-ke-tattoo, self-appointed 'seperatists' on the payroll of our Western neighbour, led by the Mirwaiz's, the Gilani's and the Fai's.

...Speaking of Fai, lol that poor old guy was abandoned by the Pakistanis when he needed them the most and is now rotting his sorry a$$ in an American Jail.

OIC is nothing but a joke, as some people put it correctly, its a tea biscuit organization where Muslim leaders come to enjoy a sip of tea and make some noises.

Arabs don't give two hoots about Kashmir, Turks don't give two hoots about Kashmir, they are busy making defence deals with india and we have these Arab and Turkish rear end lickers who will go out of their way and support Arab causes blindly while justifying weak Arab and Turkish support for Kashmir cause.

Down with traitors and sellouts.
