Member states need to make far more effort, rather then single states going in all directions, we need to become a large block to look after our common interests
After the President Donald Trump proposal to have the US "take over" Gaza and relocate its Palestinian population the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is being urged to hold an emergency meeting. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has been in contact with multiple counterparts including those from Egypt Tunisia Turkey and Pakistan calling for a unified and firm stance against Trump's plan which he views as a "colonialist conspiracy to erase Palestine”.
The proposal has sparked widespread condemnation with many including Hamas describing it as "racist" and a violation of international law. Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia Jordan Egypt UAE and Oman as well as organizations like the Arab League, have also denounced the plan. OIC countries stated that Donald Trump's statements "contribute to the consolidation of occupation, colonial settlement, and the forcible seizure of Palestinian land".
Araghchi has discussed the possibility of holding a ministerial conference with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf and has called on major Muslim states to adopt a "decisive and consistent" stance against Trump's plan. The UN has also voiced its opposition to any plan that would relocate Palestinians from their homeland.
Arab contact group of countries are involved, not the OIC.
It is obvious from the speech and body language of the King that if Trump wanted to force the expulsion of Gazans using military power, Arabs will accept it. They have no will to confront the US.
