Nice mental gymnastics. You took the thread from being about the J-20 and the Rafale, to the J-20 and the F-22. No one said that the F-22 and the J-20 were inferior or superior to each other.

First of all, it wasn't the F-35 that lost to the Rafale, it was the F-22, with rules of engagement that heavily favored the Rafale, because the F-22 wasn't allowed to use its radar, due to security purposes.

Next, this isn't rock paper scissors, this is real life. Give facts, numbers, statistics...etc, if you can't do that, refrain from making ridiculous comments.

Finally, who are these "experts", name them, or don't mention them if you can't.

Well some fan-boy started the thread that Rafael is no match for J-20 after some IAF official stated that Rafael is a 4.5++ fighter and capable of handling J-20. Details of Rafael are available all over there is dedicated thread by some French member on PDF too. Are details of performance etc of J-20 available in public domain, that too authenticated by neutral sources, so that we can compare the same with Rafael? I am just stating that J-20 is no piece of equipment which has some alien technology and is unmatched etc like some Pakistani/Chinese members believe and then go ahead and start threads like these

Do you think they are still flying the Rafael which they did 15 years ago? Is Toyota still selling the corolla it was selling in 1966? What we know is 'today' Rafael is one of the best proved/battle hardened 4.5 generation fighters and J-20 will be a 5 generation fighter with 'not so sure' capabilities
yes bcz India is buying rafales then they will surely be exceptional....Sorry i was wrong..

Chinese version of Su-35?
tell me where China has made the version of SU-35..??IDT

can anyone tell me when Lockheed Martin was sold to Northrop Grumman?
mistake edited....

China needs to work fast on better engine and as for Indians and there assumptions it's waste of time to debate with them. Their patriotism have completely blinded them.

why you are considering SU-35..??
J-20 is a mouth shutter......For su-35 China has J-10C/D...you might not aware of its capabilities....China has bought SU-35 just for the variety of aircrafts....They want to counter A with A Not with B...You know what i mean.
Really , variety of aircraft, are you kidding. China bought those su 35 because they needed something better than than what they already have or what they are manufacturing currently.
Yes, china has great manufacturing base but still it lack in many fields and manufacturing of warplanes is one of them. J20 lacks in many levels when we talk of stealth and electronics vis a vis west and Russia.

Patriotism !!! When does Factual evidence is counted as relevant or we can gulp only conspiracy theories

maybe some psychologist had asked indians to believe in stealth features of rafale to overcome mental depression they are facing due to J 20.
by the way a bicycle has many features of a motorcycle or a motorbike but still no one compare both.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is unimpressed by China's Chengdu J-20 "stealth" fighter jet, echoing a growing opinion the J-20 isn't a true stealth jet in the same mold as the Lockheed F-35 Lightning II.

It also points out its new Dassault Rafale multi-role fighters also have stealth capabilities that remain secret but are present in this French-made jet. India has ordered 36 Rafales from the plane's maker, Dassault Aviation.

IAF realizes full well the importance of acquiring a fighter aircraft with stealth features and that's why the Rafale, which has "special stealth features," was acquired from France, said Air Marshal SB Deo, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Air Command (WAC).

WAC is the largest and most important Air Command of the IAF. It consists of 16 Air Force Bases (AFBs), and is responsible for aerial defense of North India. It controls 21 squadrons, of which 13 are jet fighter squadrons.

The Air Marshal believes the J-20, which was had its first public reveal at the Zhuhai Air Show last Nov. 1, is no cause for concern since Rafael also has stealth features.

"The radial cross section of the aircraft (Rafale) is significantly smaller for an aircraft of that size," he said.

"There are many other features too which I would not like to disclose at this stage."

Air Marshal Deo pointed out the J-20 has stealth features only at the front and not in the rear. This means the J-20 is not a true stealth fighter in the same class as the F-35.

"It is important to maintain stealth while using your radar equipment, while opening your bomb bay doors to fire and ensuring how a weapon can quickly come out of the rails and go out. I do not know how far this aircraft is stealth," he said.

He also said it will be some time before the J-20 is operationally fielded but the IAF is prepared for its arrival.
question is when you know rafale is not even close to J20 then why are you even botherred about indian having rafale or bellitelling J20 cause in a WAR sitation words dont matter who will be better will survive .... do you get my point :sarcastic:

Please specify that some features such alien stealth features

@Zain Malik you did not provide the link to the article in your opening post. You even gave the article a new title.

Here is the same article in another thread making the same Northrop Grumman/ Lockheed Martin mistake.

Now imagine the mental depression of those who have neither.

Similarly a fanboy has much of the vocabulary (but not anything more) of an expert, but still no one compares the two.

Apparently, being selected by the IAF bestows upon a fighter aircraft the fantastical ability to match and excel any other combat jet on the planet.

Perhaps aeronautical companies should pay the IAF to temporarily "induct" their products so that they can automatically become the best in the world.

Translation: "We know nothing of the Rafale, nothing of the J-20, nothing of the T-50/FGFA, and nothing of the F-22, but what the heck; let's throw some meaningless comparisons just for the sake of it."

The Rafale's RCS matches the F-22.

Don't contor titles, post a link to the article next time or you will be warned. Stupid to make flaming titles.
