Yes it will. GST will be a single tax for whole country decreasing the overall indirect tax burden on common man. Thus increasing the consumption. It will bring down the cascading effect of different central and state tax. Thus it will also increase the profit of the corporates and will also act as a motivation for foreigners to invest in country to benefit from GST and increase their profit level.
It will also increase the tax compliance and tax collection of government in long run.
