That's not anything to do with the rifle but that it fires the 5.56mm calibre round whilst India's security forces deployed to COIN ops prefer the 7.62mm round (as do many deployed to similar operations around the world). Many confuse the two issues and don't understand it is about doctrine and calibre preferencenot a reflection on the rifle itself.

even after the CAPFs absolutely refused to induct the Excalibur and have placed a large demand for X-95.

It varies force to force- all have their own requirements (that leads to major wastages) some CAPFs and state police have the Excalibur, some CAPFs have other weapons.

IA wants/needs a weapon able to fire the 5.56mm and 7.62mm (maybe 6.8mm also). Also, the X-95/MTAR is more suited to specialised units or the police, being a compact weapon with a short barrel it is not meant to be a standard issue battle rifle.

but thats the only solution for ever complaining & phorren maal loving indian army why i mean why cant we develop something like tevor or a bullpup version of excalibur with 18" barrel and multiple piccatenni rails ... its hopeless i guess time has come to change a feww things with OFB

Bullpup design isnt something that's being specifically asked by the IA. And ARDE isnt making one, as far as I know. Looks like they ditched the earlier bullpup design.

I hate long weighted rifles with IA. Looks like we still in Ww2 era.

Its purely to do with rifle. The rate of jamming in three round burst is tremendous, Speaking out of own experience and not a second hand information. There is no confusion. I repeat, the rifle is good for range classification, great accuracy, and excellent grouping too! But for CQB in valley, it was and is pathetic. The same with LMG. A great weapon for range, but in CQB the old Bren was an awesome companion.

Coming to the preference of caliber, Tavor or M4 were good in performance in CI ops. On the other hand, INSAS is dicey at best. Either AKMS or Tavor/M4 will suffice personally speaking.

Personally I, myself, preferred Vz-58! A lightweight rugged design of Czech!

Your opinion about bullpup hasn't altered. I share a similar view as well.

I did heard that trials of MCIWS have been completed by DRDO and soon it will be handed over to Army for evaluation.

If make in India is the priority as of now so why not MCIWS should be given a fair go instead of wasting time and funds on Excalibur. At least MCIWS does offer something new.
Or give priority to the Infantry and select tavor, which is already being widely used by IA, under license production.
