a nice documentary that highlights the failures and shortcomings in the 8 year American invasion of AFG. attempts to engage the american audience into questioning the original purpose of the mission for a moment, which was to capture Osama/Taliban and destroy his network- the main perpetrator of 911, and then obscures the actual mission by refocusing on the ongoing battle with Afghan Taliban resistance.
makes absolutely no mention of India's involvement and her interests that are aligned with the US mission, and the threat it poses to Pakistan. but, why?
exposes the incompetant and heinously corrupt afghan govn't and her minions and makes her a scapegoat for their own failures in handling the two cities in which they barely operate outside the barracks.
last but not least, the crux of the blame is placed on Pakistan, secret hiders and backers of the AFG Taliban, alleged proxies of the ISI, makes a reference to Pakistan and the Nukes? oh! the fear factor, you know. perhaps the main fear factor behind accomplishing their objectives?
Nicely done.
nice documentary, must admit it was fun watching.
p.s. funny moments, American soldier extending hand to an old Afghan tribal and the afghan dude not knowing what to do as he was watched by other tribal n elders ROFL
second one, when the afghan minister was asked if he really hates Pakistan after noticing uneasiness on his face, (mind me he wasn't an Afghan, he was an indian agent) and reported further questioned about his facial expression so as to force him to say something about Pakistan, ROFL
