A direct comparison between the two countries is impossible because North Korea keeps everything a secret.

surely their external actions and foreign policy are very visible.

and internally, dprk is a socialist welfare state ( for example, housing being free as a basic human right ) but in usa it is not so.

and there is international tourism, including to beach resorts and a ski resort.

There could be homelessness all over the country. We don't know because nobody can report it. And where are the photos and videos of these foreign tourists? Again we can't see any.

There is no way to corroborate NK's stats. Its is more closed than China. And think about it. Iran with so much of sanctions had to struggle despite having oil. NK is heavily sanctioned - do you think their standard of living will be good being a closed state?

To compare those two states and their heads is seriously got to be a joke.

- There is a lot of freedom here to criticize Obama - do that in NK and let me see what happens to you.
- you can voice your opinion against the state and get laws enacted (marijuana, gay marriages), you cannot do that in NK
- You dont need to get the same haircut as Obama in USA
- You can start your own company and keep your own profits that you got form your own hard work
- You get access to free basic education which may not as good as we like but certainly much much better than NK (and most of the world)
- You get some of the best human rights in USA - not so much in NK
- Obama did not go about threatening a Nuclear attack on any country

maybe no homelessness but certainly not very best living conditions because the nato sanctioning of this small country does lead to less resources importable to improve housing projects

and i took some time for this post because i was searching for a facebook post on a new housing project in dprk... it was a big gated community.

i won't bother answering in detail to your foolish post.

go ask the libyans, the syrians, the cubans and the venezuelans about obomba.

as for internals of usa, you should enquire with the "occupy" movement and the different communist groups about usa establishment.

and since you are in usa, form a active movement seeking to bring the libyan "third universal theory" of direct-democracy socialism to usa... you will find the struggles and the results.

No Israel? I think South Africa had nukes as well once.

A direct comparison is impossible because its simply idiotic. This whole thread his sole intention is to try and bash the USA.

Comparing NK to USA is probably the best benchmark to determine which is a foolish post. I do not get into personal arguments. Not my style and not my strength. We can debate about there other stuff once you recognize, make amends, apologize and adhere to the forum rules by not getting personal, calling names and basically baiting other people.

The United States has done a far better job containing the fallouts of these issues and making sure the world doesnt go to chaos. Sure there are internal agendas in most of the actions. And whys would the USA NOT have any agenda?

The libyans, the syrians, the cubans have done a lot worse to themselves and they are in the position because of themselves. The USA has been in the forefront of getting the opposing forces ME to get to the table for talks. Of course there can be many ways to improve how that could be handled. But the situation has been made worse by so many different types of extremist players budding in that region right now.

I am very happy with the way the internal structures of the democracy in USA works. sure it can be made better, but the amount of freedom of expression, ability to change for better and the way extremist views are NOT tolerated gives me immense faith in its future. Not so much in places where the state imposes specific versions of specific religious books which are vestiges of the medieval and stone ages. no thank you.

good point.

maybe israel and south africa were not included to keep the list small.

i have no automatic hate for the people of usa... i oppose only the usa establishment/military. :)

If you think North-Korea is even somewhat better than the USA than you are a bit delusional.

you spit on the deaths of four million north koreans via nato bloc invasion in the korea war and yet you want me to apologize to you and "make amends"??

you must be joking.

the world is in chaos because of usa government's meddling.

my word !! you want to start the post-ww2 argument from the start??

The libyans, the syrians, the cubans have done a lot worse to themselves and they are in the position because of themselves.

libya and syria before invasion and cuba still, were/are higher on the undp "human development index" scale than the india of your ethnicity. :)

right... in that case, you won't have problems in building the socialist movement i asked of you earlier and one point from your agenda must be abolition of money system.

here's[1] what some of the true aspects ( not made visible by nato bloc ) of that "medieval and stone age" ideology brought...
When we examine marriage laws in their historic context, it is interesting to note that the universally accepted notion that marriages are contractual rather than sacramental originates in Muslim law, which was accepted by the French law only in the 1800s and incorporated into the English law in the 1850s and became part of codified Hindu law as late as 1955. Today it appears to be the most practical way of dealing with the institution of marriage. Treating marriage as a sacrament which binds the parties for life has resulted in some of the most discriminatory practices against women such as sati and denial of right to divorce and remarriage, even in the most adverse conditions.

Yet still EU has problems and loves to impose sanction and restrictions upon countries testing nuclear weapons other than them.Like US and every other country on earth,North Korea holds the right to strengthen and equip herself with most advanced weapons: Be it hydrogen bomb or whatever.
Let me tell you the other side around. If countries other than them will become powerful, then US and her allies will not be in any position to impose their points of interests upon them.Others will be free to take decisions with respect to their suitability which will break the so called unification hence disturbing the dominance of few powerful states.

regards

the make amends and apologize was for your baiting and saying "foolish post". debate on merits and points. Not on flame baiting and calling names.

you can hold your view/opinion. I have a different opinion and when you are ready with an open mind, we can discuss in a new thread about USA's meddling. For the purpose of this thread, comparing USA to NK, lets see how many peoples lives had NK helped make better.
