That's partially true but if you have good income and ability to protect yourself then you can live anywhere. My home is protected by an elaborate security system.... and I have skills to defend myself.. though nothing happened so far..

Nutella is dangerous for the heart. It has palm and vegetable oils and tons of sugar. My grandmothers coca coated French toast are way better :).

.
Never liked the stuff and to apply that to toast, the taste of the sugar just overwhelms everything.
I do think the French make some lovely jams, which have a more natural fruit sugar spin, and I store a cabinet of my favourite jams. I have all sorts.
Oh well now we know the French kryptonite, conquering France for the British shouldn't be a problem.

Nutella is a disgusting unhealthy mix f oil and sugar with hardly any hazel nut ... I think the nut part is actually less than 5% of the content.

In Canada you can pick it up cheap from Walmart ... Nobody (except the uneducated) buy it...

Make your own healthy version. It is banned in our household.

I love French cheese, my favorite is Camembert, as for jams I only use marmalade. But if you ever want to try great preserve the best has to be Waitrose Raspberry Jam. :)

This is what we call European dignity which you are so proud of:)
Actually Europe is very refined, I have had the pleasure of travelling to most of Western and central Europe and some of the tastes, cultures and traditions are a sight to behold. I have never experienced any hostility in Europe and I have always found that prejudices people have about Europe and Europeans a stark reminder of why everyone should really travel more.

My favorite country thus far in Europe has be the Netherlands, followed closely by Germany and Belgium.

German post WW II architecture is quite depressing.
