Nuclear arms race between China and India

Well, every country has its nuclear missiles targeting its potential nuclear attackers. For China, India is not its primary concerns. whatever India's intention is with its nuclear missile is not in China's control. India can build up its nuclear arsenal trying to race with China all it wants. It doesn't mean China has to do the same. As long as MAD exists, there is no need to race. Once someone said that the usefulness of a nuclear weapon is only when it is still on the lunch pad, not after.

The dynamics of MAD demand equilibrium in quality and quantity. Offensively decoyed MIRVs and defensively BMDs and ASATs demand the same end effect from the adversaries. MAD is an escalating race constrained by economic necessities.

India's deployed nuclear arsenal may be slightly smaller or equal to Pakistan's and is of course around 30% of China's. But India's existing fissile material stockpiles are enough to increase weapons 10 fold. India has poor uranium reserves. The US 123 agreement and NSG exemption means that India can import more uranium albeit for the civilian reactors freeing up local reserves for weapons development. In dire situations IAEA safeguards won't mean much and all fissile material may be directed for weapons. Also India has the largest reserves of Thorium and active research into Thorium - Uranium fuel cycles are on with a 40 MW reactor critical and a 500 MW fast breeder reactor being built. The 123 agreement and the NSG exemption are partly explained by the success in Thorium research. In short , India can build a lot more weapons than it currently has and at a rate that Pakistan will not be able to match.

So you come to say that pakistan has Fastest rate of Production for nuclear weapons than any Superpower in the world... Thats really an Achievement for You guys, Congrats..... :disagree:

I just shot down your bullshit claim, and now you claim to be a superpower? Grow up.

Face it, you lost in this category.

Well, the thing is that in the past minimum deterrence not MAD had always been part of the China's nuclear doctrine, I don't think matching the quantities of other nuclear power is what China is aiming for. Assuring that China is able to inflict enough damage to the others if it is attacked is already a credible deterrence for other not to attack China with nuclear weapon, unless the other country has completely gone mad. So as long as China has gained a credible second strike capability, there is no need for a nuclear race.

No it can't, they don't have the materials, technology. They would have done so if they did. Sorry, try again.

Anyways, if U.S. finds out that India is building more nukes, Indians can say bye bye to their nuclear deal.

I never said, India to be a superpower, Wear Glasses, I pointed out towards the existing Superpowers.... Your rate of production of Nuke Devices is very high compared to others in the Starting, you straight away went to 9 nukes annually.... Well if that seems possible to you guys, then Iam sorry, You are free to Live with That claim....

And I guess Pakistan must have built all that know how and materials while not grazing on the silk route.

Don't be mad I shot down your claim too, anyways it makes sense for you to support India since your so called country doesn't have a military.
