NSC to discuss ‘misleading’ statement on Mumbai attacks: ISPR

They always wanted to bleed India with thousand cuts. Mumbai was one of them.
whole world knows that. There is a local saying that cat thinks that world will not know who drank the milk if it drinks the milk with eyes closed.

'Indian media misrepresented Nawaz's statement, we should not become a part of it,' says PM Abbasi

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, during a press conference in Islamabad on Monday, said that Nawaz Sharif's statements about the Mumbai attacks in an interview to Dawn were being misrepresented by Indian media — and people in Pakistan should not become party to the propaganda.

The press conference was held shortly after the conclusion of a National Security Council (NSC) session, which was convened to discuss "recent misleading media statement" regarding the Mumbai attacks.

According to DawnNewsTV, PM Abbasi dispelled the impression that Nawaz had said that the Mumbai attacks had been planned in Pakistan.

"Nawaz Sharif said that he neither said any such thing, nor can it be said on the basis of assumptions that planning for the Mumbai attacks was done in Pakistan," said the PM, who met Nawaz shortly after the NSC meeting ended.

"Indian media is giving the issue a different hue, and we should not be a part of it," he said.

The NSC did not condemn Nawaz, but incorrect reporting of the interview, the PM clarified, referring to the earlier jointed statement by the country’s top civil-military body.

"There was no talk [by Nawaz] of the Mumbai attacks being planned in Pakistan," Abbasi explained.

"Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan has not permitted its soil to be used for terrorism," he added.

"The participants observed that it was very unfortunate that the opinion arising out of either misconceptions or grievances was being presented in disregard of concrete facts and realities," a press release issued after the meeting had said.

"The participants unanimously rejected the allegations and condemned the fallacious assertions."

"The facts should be made public," he added.

Abbasi, who was elected the PM after Nawaz Sharif was ousted as the country's premier by the Supreme Court in the Panamagate judgement, reiterated his support for his predecessor. "As the prime minister, I stand with Nawaz Sharif," he said, adding that Nawaz would remain the party's quaid.

He also clarified that he was not resigning, saying, "I will stay the prime minister until 12am on May 31."

PM Abbasi conveys military's concerns to Nawaz

Following the meeting, Prime Minister Abbasi met Sharif, who earlier in the day during a chat with reporters and dispelled the notion that the comments were falsely attributed to him. "Will speak the truth come what may," he said. "What did I say that was wrong in the interview?"

During the meeting that lasted nearly 30 minutes, Abbasi briefed Sharif about the discussions held during the NSC meeting and conveyed to him the concerns of the military leadership regarding the Mumbai attacks.

According to sources, Sharif reiterated his stance and questioned if anyone could explain what was wrong with his comments.

The prime minister and his predecessor also discussed the future plan of action.

And dawn as a third party here as usual trying to stir trouble in pakistan. Also ihave for years observed one thing that dawn had always taken pro indian stance in mumbai attacks and they always used to blame pakistan for it or publish such sort of editorials.

Dawn in general is packed with liberal who would pretend to be champions of humans rights, justice and fairness but inside they are vile, dishonest and sold out to west cause if u speak of a democratic and free of corruption society and u are so sublime in ur stance then how come u have been passively and now openly supporting an ex pm who got dismissed and disqualified for his dishonesty in dealings, and has been embroiled in panama scandals.

Also expect more such mumbai attacks and pakistan hosts militants orgs to use against india slew of articles in future. Cause if we remember even dawn leaks was also of exact same nature. And ironically each time dawn leaks or some dawn scandal comes out its always abt india and pakistan sending terrorists to india.

One shudnt have any doubt abt dawns agenda and that how this group works on foreign funding.

Just like previous ocassion this time too army will let nawaz ******** get away but what will be worst will be letting out a gutter sledge cyril almeda despite having the fact revealed that this man is a completely planted anti state element

DAWN is filth. Nothing more nothing less. Even the choice of words in their headlines, stories and editorial serve the interests of enemy nations. And here I blame the deep state of allowing so much crap going about without check and balances. No CNN, FOX, or any western media group will go against their state, never, just because their leash is tightly held by their deep state.

DAWN it seems keep on "leaking".
