Nobody said NRC process was anti-muslim. Even though there were suspicion at the beginning but the process certainly deserve praise.

But the intention from BJP/AGP was anti muslim as you assumed that most of the muslim will be excluded even with this fairer exercise. But as you found that muslim already passed the test..you suddenly want 100% re-verification and with total control of AGP/BJP bigots so that you can exclude them.

I don't think sc will allow this at this point of stage as your plea already rejected. The only thing remains is the remaining legal process of the excluded people. Even if there were re-verification there will be more Hindus name excluded. I don't believe any Muslim has to worry about it...

The re-verification will only exclude more Hindus. I know few of them personally... Muslim never migrated after 47.

1. Why did the Supreme Court take up the NRC mantle in the first place.
2. What was the urgency to publish NRC now when doubts about procedure was pointed out from various quarters.
3. This is not the first NRC to have been conducted in Assam. When did the first one take place?

The answers to these questions will have bearings on the future events.

Out of 1.9 million only 700k is Muslim. Eventually many has other family members that were included but they are excluded. Most of them will get in. So around 200-300k will be left out who will appeal. I believe finally less than 100k Muslim will be excluded. India is bringing CAB to include Hindus. So entire BJP propaganda is failing.

That’s actually 600k Muslim not 700k as 1.1 million are Hindus, 200k are tribal, Nepali, Bihari, Kuch etc. Thats the breakdown.

Out of 600k many has parents and other family member already included. Some already died in last 6 years. So it will come down to 200-300k at best who will appeal and case will continue for such a big number of people for years. I believe as said before far below 100k might be excluded.

Beside giving mental stress and anxiety to these poor people NRC did not achieve anything.

You can still see some Sanghi like @Axomiya_lora is still jumping up and down to exclude so called illegal miyas when such claim and propaganda of BJZp has already busted and even Indian media is already publishing and acknowledging it.
