Munawar terms India permission a trap
LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, has termed India's permission to Pakistanis to invest as a trap and a plan to destabilize the country in every respect.
The JI Ameer has appealed to patriotic people and businessmen not to fall in this trap.
In a statement here, he said India was continuously trying to weaken this country and it had built 62 dams over Pakistani rivers denying this country its share of water.
He was of the view that the opponents of Pakistan wanted to convert Pakistan into a desert and destroy its industry, agriculture and economy so that Pakistan becomes totally dependant.
Munawar Hasan said due to the ongoing energy crisis, capitalists had been compelled to shift their capital abroad.
JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, in his statement, said that India's move to allow investment was a conspiracy. He was of the opinion that the trade between the two neighbours showed huge losses to this country and heavy profits for India. (AFP)
