There was a tinge of disappointment in me when the Nokia Lumia EOS Smart phone did not show up during the launch of the Nokia 925.

But it has been confirmed that it is on the way, in fact the latest rumor surrounding the device is that it carries the same 41 MP Pureview sensor like that of the 808 Pureview and it is going to be announced on the 9th of July.

Much of the rumored specs has released this week, and according to them the device is modelled on the lines of the newly released 925 and will have similar specifications except the camera.

Since then a whole whack of alleged Lumia EOS specs have appeared online in a major leak from a supposed insider claiming to be "in the know".

The source claims to have actually had a test run of the device, says the Lumia EOS will take snaps at up to 34MP, like the 808 PureView, while it will offer three different framerate choices for video at both 1080p and 720p resolutions.

Otherwise, the source reaffirms the other spec claims we’ve heard recently – the new ProCamera software, including a full manual mode, a 4.5in 720p display, a slimline Lumia chassis but with tapered ends and a more significant sensor bulge, and – obviously – Windows Phone 8.

By cheap I mean low cost ram not that quality is bad. If Nokia is selling a product for $649 [obviously carrier gets their share] Lumia 920 surely adding 1GB RAM would not increase cost for a newer model. 3 products almost identical or slight changed specs 920/925/928 I was hoping 925 would have 2gb ram and atleast 11 or 13mp camera, bluetooth 4.0 and usb3.0 that is where Android is winning, i would switch from android to Nokia but only when specs are better.

Just b/c you increase the pixels it doesn't mean you're gonna have a better camera. It doesn't work that way. I rather have a good camera than a 41 MP one.


On a completely unrelated topic, does anyone know how much it's gonna cost to replace the front and backs of a Nexus 4? A truck ran over my nexus 4 which resulted in the back glass getting shattered. Miraculously the front screen survived without a scratch. 2 days later I dropped it and the screen also shattered haha

Never getting a glass phone again. Note 3 here I come. Meanwhile I'm gonna have to get my Nexus fixed.

I am anxiously waiting for Sony Honami....Its is rumoured to have a 20 mega pixel camera and a dedicated music amplifier chip. Speaking of Nokia had N8 once and it had a remarkable 12 mp camera.

WP 8 (unlike Android) is designed to operate satisfactorily on lower RAM.

AFAIK, RAM is not that cheap and I dont know the meaning of low cost good quality RAM ?

If the quality is good then it must be expensive.

I dont know how stable the windows 8 is on cells, But Android is definitely over rated........Every now and then the browsers and apps either slow down or simly crash and then on my cellfone the playstore wont open and it keeps on saying google.process stopped working. My next tablet will be a windows tablet, but a full version not the lame RT one and for the fone i am seriously thinking about reverting back to IOS.

Why so surprised? They have had a 41MP camera fone in market for quite long now. Did you never hear of Nokia 808 Pure View?

If that is the reason why is GS 3 and GS4 selling for the price equally to Nokia Lumia 920 and the specs being 2X better. I understand the part optimized but i did work with some Apps and it requires more processing power and RAM, not always will you find it stable for checking emails, facebook status and other general surfing...Videos, graphics intensive games and other Apps require processing power and RAM, what i see is Nokia focusing on refining product and it will cost them terribly they started good but my opinion is they are again heading wrong way.

Diff. prices of diff. models OR same price of diff. models is mainly due to:

Difference in Brand Value
Inventory Buying Cost
Inventory Holding Cost
Total Program Cost
Actual Inventory available
Marketing Cost
and many more factors.

AFAIK, WP 8 is internally refined as compared to WP 7.5

You can expect better stability and good performance even in lower RAM.

I would not put RAM as the only deciding factor in phone performance.

Just to add - Amber Update is coming in July which will bring lot new features to WP 8.
