Not The Australian Way

^^ Could have well been an Open Letter to Islamic protestors in Mumbai,Lucknow or anywhere in the world.

These people just dont understand that they are only playing into the hands of those who say "Islam is a danger" through these actions. If only they could realize that.

Who needs to be caring about Sydney...? Or any other corner in Australia ..?

Non-Australian protesters face deportation if charged - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

The message from the Australian community is clear. We don't want this crap on our streets. Take it to the Middle East. It has nothing to do with our country.

When immigrants come to Australia, we do not ask that they surrender their heritage, but we do ask that they surrender their hatreds.

These extremists refuse to.

I find it utterly disgusting when the so called moderate Muslims dont open their mouth in real life against their co-comunity men

I find it utterly disgusting when opportunistic people pontificate and pass judgement on all Muslims when every prominent Muslim organization in Australia has repeatedly condemned these HuT extremists. The organization is banned in Pakistan and many Muslim countries, yet they thrive in the West and bring disrepute to the wider community.

Don't blame us. We speak about what we see and hear.

And your well-meaning protests, if at all, are drowned in a sea of venom and intolerance and hatred and violence.

Help us see what we do not. But don't blame us for raising our voices against what we do.

As I said no one needs you (the so called silent majority) speaking out. Speak in. Instead of renting hundred thousand dollar an hour meeting rooms and pontificating to non-Muslims what is Islam, take time out, call in the these radicals to the local mosque and do what you want to de-radicalise them. That is work you guys should be doing..not telling us your sob story. First make the Muslims understand what Islam is (if you think it actually preaches peace), then you can make the non-Muslims understand that.

Regarding being opportunistic, why blame me and not the one who provided the opportunity ? You think we should all be silent whatever your community men do and not even criticise it ? You think we are wrong in wondering if all these mindless violence is a fault of the men or the idealogy they practise ?

You are just repeating your earlier post despite my assertion that Muslim leaders do criticize these extremists, inside and outside the community. However, the government has decided that they deserve freedom of speech like everyone else, so there's nothing anyone can do about it until they break the law.

In India, extremist Hindu organizations flourish despite criticism from moderate Hindus. They hold rallies, they commit crimes, they get arrested, yet they continue. Same with extremist organizations in other religions. In a population of billions, it is impossible to regiment everyone.

I find it utterly disgusting when the so called moderate Muslims dont open their mouth in real life against their co-comunity men and wean them away from their misguided path and instead pontificate to the non-Muslims on the internet on how they should view Muslims. There is no need to advise us how to view Muslim when these fundamentalists disappear, because automatically the view would be positive. But no, they would not do that. Perhaps they are afraid of getting killed or branded traitors or worse still, they silently agree with them.

Well, the proof of the pudding is always in the eating.

Respect is commanded, not demanded.

People always judge others by their actions. Intentions are inferred from actions, there is no other way.

Now coming to where the "moderates" stand, the most charitable view is that they are just silenced by the vocal and physical extremists. That they can't stand up to them.

I suspect the truth is a bit less charitable. The "moderates" mostly go along the flow. They pretend to be on the side of whoever seems stronger at that point of time.

In societies taken over by the conservatives, the "moderate voices" are so few for the same reason.

And of course, many "moderates" are just play acting.
