im coming with more later!

i think its biggest failure of muslims in last 100 years that these guys use name of islam and muslims can not do any thing.

Are you sure that it is because Muslims 'can't' do anything and not because Muslims 'don't want to' do anything about it?

When you have extremist Wahabi ideology stemming from the very root of Islam (Saudi Arab), what else do you expect to happen to Islam?

problem was in starting now its beyond the repair

May they rest in peace. Norway is one of most open minded countries i know, it would be horrible if this act was done by Muslim extremists, it will damage the moderate Muslims who had nothing to do with it.

I used to be a "non-muslim" defender of Islam. I'm really not so sure anymore. Arabs are a bunch of arrogant pricks, rest of them all somehow yearn for a "muslim dominant" WORLD. I mean....come on guys......seriously?!

Second Blast reported in Norway

[Update: 11:00 a.m. ET, 5:00 p.m. Oslo] A hotel worker in Oslo's Grand Hotel, about a five-minute walk from the government building, said everyone in the hotel felt and heard the explosion, which felt like someone was shaking the entire building.

"It's crazy," she said, not wanting to be identified because she is not authorized to speak to the media on behalf of the hotel. "This happens in the big world, not in Oslo. I'm shocked."

Vivian Paulsen, media adviser for the Norwegian Red Cross, lives 20 minutes away from the center of Oslo in the northern outskirts of the city. She said she heard a "huge blast."

"I heard the big bang, I didn't think it was anything serious. I can still see smoke coming up from the place," she said, watching from her apartment balcony. She also heard sirens and ambulances.

As for Oslo, she said what others have been saying: Events like this don't happen in the northern European capital.

"There's occasional arrests of terror suspects we read about in the paper, or people planning something. I can hear ambulances and sirens."

[Update: 10:48 a.m. ET, 4:48 p.m. Oslo] Nick Soubiea, an American-Swedish tourist in Oslo, told CNN he was less than 100 yards from the blast, which he described as deafening.

"It was almost in slow motion, like a big wave that almost knocked us off our chairs," he said. "It was extremely frightening."

He said the streets were crowded with people trying to get away from the center of the city. "There are people running down the streets, people crying, everyone's on their cell phones calling home," he said.

[Update: 10:47 a.m. ET, 4:47 p.m. Oslo] A spokesperson for the Legevakten Hospital in Oslo, Norway confirmed the blasts in the downtown area but said they weren't sure how bad it was.

"Right now we are not too sure what has happened, we are watching the news and talking to the other hospitals," the spokesperson said. "We don’t know what caused it or how many people are injured."

[Update: 10:36 a.m. ET, 4:36 p.m. Oslo] One explosion happened near a government building housing the office of Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, said the reporter, Linda Reinholdsen. Another hit near the Norwegian parliament, she said.

[Update: 10:16 a.m. ET, 4:16 p.m. Oslo] At least one of the explosions happened near some government buildings, said Walter Gibbs, a journalist with Reuters. He said he saw eight injured people, including two or three with serious wounds and one who looked dead. Reuters reported that the prime minister was safe.

[Update: 10:11 a.m. ET, 4: 11 p.m Oslo] A second blast was heard in central Oslo shortly after an initial explosion rocked the city, a reporter for Norwegian state broadcaster NRK told CNN Friday. Linda Reinholdsen said there was a state of confusion in the city and several government buildings were affected.

[10 a.m. ET, 4 p.m. Oslo] An explosion rocked a part of central Oslo, Norway, on Friday, state TV reported. State TV broadcaster NRK said on its website that windows in several buildings had been blown out and people were in the street bleeding. News reports suggest the government building has been affected.

Oslo explosion: 'several' dead, dozens injured after Norway city blast

A massive car bomb explosion rocked central Oslo on Friday, killing "several" people, injuring dozens of people and severely damaging government buildings including the Prime Minister’s office.

The blast, which occurred about 3.30pm local time on Friday, left at least a dozen people injured amid fears "hundreds" had died.

There were, however, no immediate reports of casualties from the blast, which occurred at the government headquarters which house the offices of Jens Stoltenberg.

It remains unclear what caused the blast or if it was a terrorism attack. A tangled wreckage of a car was outside one building.

Local media reported that police had confirmed "several deaths". Police urged people to stay of their mobile phones.

Locals report more than one explosion went off. Damage to buildings was as far as five blocks away.

Police and fire officials declined to comment on the cause.

The Prime Minister was reported to be safe. He had been scheduled to visit the areas outside the city on Friday.

"A powerful explosion has taken place in the government quarter," Norwegian police said in a statement.

Injured people were seen lying on the street in pools of blood. Heavy debris littered the streets and smoke rose over the city centre.

The 17-storey building, which also houses Norway's biggest tabloid newspaper VG, was reported to be on fire, with thick black smoke being seen for miles.

Witnesses reported the massive blast blew out most windows in the building as well as nearby government departments including the oil ministry, in Norway’s capital and most populated city.

The bottom floor appeared to be completely gutted

"I'm still in my work office and people here seem pretty freaked out and are ringing around friends and relatives like mad," Ruarí Ødegaard, an exatriate Briton living in Oslo told The Daily Telegraph.

"Also can hear quite a few police sirens even where I am."

Mr Odegaard, 34, whose wife Kjersti is Norwegian, moved to Oslo in 2008 after growing up in Frimley, Surrey. He works for a software company a few miles from the blast site.

"She walked right past that building shortly before the explosion. Which kinda freaks me out!", he added.

"The local media seem very confused.

"One minute NRK (national media like BBC) reported two explosions and then a moment later they retracted. So far no reports of deaths just injuries but again no figures as to how many.

"Being a tech company we have lots of foreign workers including quite a few Brits. As far as I know we are all ok."

Bevdin Azimov, told local newspapers that

Users on Twitter also described sheer panic.

"I fear that many 100s could be dead. Poor poor poor guard that worked in the first floor. :(:(," one local trader posted on Twitter.

He added later: "There has not been any more blasts in Oslo after the one. It is confirmed that it was indeed a bomb."

Another witness told public radio NRK: "I see that some windows of the VG building and the government headquarters have been broken. Some people are covered with blood are lying in the street.”

Ingunn Andersen, a local journalist, said: "There is glass everywhere. It is total chaos. The windows of the all the surrounding buildings have been blown out."

Kjersti Vedun, who was leaving the area, added: It exploded - it must have been a bomb. people ran in panic and ran. I counted at least 10 injured people."

Witness Ole Tommy Pedersen was standing at a bus stop about 100 yards from the high-rise when he saw the blast shatter almost all windows of the highrise. He said a cloud of smoke is billowing from the bottom floors.

"I saw three or four injured people being carried out of the building a few minutes later," he said.

Other offices are being evacuated.

No other details were immediately known.

NATO member Norway has sometimes in the past been threatened by leaders of al Qaeda for its involvement in Afghanistan.

But political violence is virtually unknown in the country.

David Lea, Western Europe analyst, at Control Risks said: "It's very difficult to tell what has happened. There certainly aren't any domestic Norwegian terrorist groups although there have been some al Qaeda-linked arrests from time to time.

"They are in Afghanistan and were involved in Libya, but it's far too soon to draw any conclusions."

another cowardly act by cowards. even one of the safest places on his planet are not safe anymore.
