North Korea sanctions punish the whole population

That's right what happens to NK is not just for NK...

I heard both China and the US made concession to reach this sanctions. The US made bigger one because Obama wants Xi to attend the Washington Summit on Nuclear proliferation he is hosting at end of Mar.

Utterly and absolutely. China's position is merely a reduction in some coal exports, some ore, but other than that, sanction is only by name and were used by political pundits in Washington in the name of political capital. Other than that, these recent rhetoric by Seoul such as how Seoul will board and inspect all ships going to Pyongyang ports ? We all know that is un-enforcable, LOL. Will South Korea inspect Japanese shipping en route to Sinuji, Wonsan, Shirotsu "Kimchaek", Haeju, Chongjin ports? Or will South Korea inspect every single Chinese shipping en route to said port cities? LOL!

Come on, we all know we should differentiate political talk from actual on -ground reality. What is evident is that besides high handed words ---- Beijing, Tokyo are really not that much scaling back with Pyongyang. Trade between Western Japan and North Korea continues. Unabated.

Only the naive fools who consume Washington publication pieces believe these gobbledygook !

If this graphic is reasonably accurate, that means NKR has an increasing dependency on China as main partner for trade and everything else. Regardless of sanctions, it proves that anyone can defy sanctions and have a trade relationship with NKR.

Trade is a privilege, not a right. Insofar as rights goes, at most one has the right to INITIATE or PROPOSE a trade relationship, but no right to impose such a relationship on anyone, and once a trade relationship exist, if one side insists on trade for guns instead of grain, that same privilege applies. If it is a privilege to trade with me, then per my sovereignty, it is my right to propose guns and your right to either refuse or agree, but you do not have the right to impose grain on me.

The privilege of trade is a two-way street. If it is a privilege to trade with you, then it is equally privilege for you to trade with me. So if you want guns it is my right to refuse. It is also the right on anyone to stop the trade relationship at any time for any reason.

If the NKRean people is suffering, and they are, the blame rests first on the NKRean government, then, since China needs NKR as a buffer state and have been willing to increase the China-NKR trade relationship in order to sustain a buffer state, China is next to blame for that suffering.

If US does not want China to have a buffer state, such a NKR, then US is first to blame?

Why would the US want a "buffer state" like North Korea? The problem on the Korean peninsula is not China, it IS North Korea.

.
This sanction seems more like a political deal than a real one, at least it shows our unsatisfaction toward Kim Jeong Eun.

What I said was "US does not want China to have a buffer state like North Korea "....

Do you see what kind of eff-ed up logic these guys have ?

It's about perspective, you never seem to get it.

If you want to talk about perspective, I have seen the Korean DMZ, how about you ?

It is YOU who does not 'get it'. We do not want a divided Korea. Period. Further, we want a Korea that is NOTHING like North Korea, while your China is perfectly fine with North Korea the way it is. You do not care about NKR other than it serves as nothing more than a geopolitical buffer region. On the other hand, while SKR is our geopolitical protectorate, we have done far more to enrich the lives of the SKRean people than your China have done for NKR. Sure, we are not perfect, but we have been far better than you.

Perspective, yes, you have seem the DMZ from the NKR side? because anyone is willing to pay for a tour ticket has seen the DMZ from the South, I know a few of air force guys and their family fly to South Korea once a year via PE. at least when I went to South Korea, I used my own Millage lol.

I say US is to be blamed, the reason is simple,
China agrees to sanctions because want to maintain the current status quo, but wants to maintain a nuclear free peninsula.
Japan and South Korea wants the same thing.
US push sanction because it's final goal is regime change.
China is not to be blamed for Kim's selfishness, US has put people that are just as bad in power, We don't like the way Kims running the country but the people of North Korea has a right to daily living necessities and not to starve.

Let DPRK and ROK fight one one one, just like Japanese warriors. I bet ROK is no rival of DPRK. Without USA's intervention 60 years ago, DPRK would have united Korea. Without PLA's engage, Kim family died out long time ago. Our purpose was to protect socialist regime, not to help Kim family.

Kim family is not loyal friend of China always.

You think so, huh? United them in what? Darkness and the slavery of communism? The starvation that is rampant in North Korea? When my father fought in the Korean war, South Korea was as poor as the North. When I was born in the early 1960's, South Korean per capita income was still less than $200 USD per year. In just one and a half generations, capitalism has made South Korea one of the most prosperous countries in the region. South Koreans today enjoy a life comparable to most Western democracies. Why in the world would anyone want North Korea to have "unified" the country!?! o_O

China will not allow a pro USA regime unites the peninsula, it means danger in the doorway. We also don't like dictatorship like Kim family, China would like to see DPRK developing by China business model.

Communism is not equal to slavery, pleas look at the light at China side in your picture.

Good Lord, if China is a decent country...neither would you! :disagree:

OK, so Russia and China are indecent for wanting a buffer zone even proven in history we have been invaded time and time again from said direction.

I am sorry we cant change our geography to the like of US that only share boarders with two other country. :woot:

.
It's Kim family's problem.

I don't believe DPRK will be so poor if they United 60 years ago.

Without China's permission, who dares to attack DPRK?no! Without China's support, can DPRK attack ROK? No!
