Sabre-rattling by NK. They won't be able to sustain a long drawn out war due to kinda economic condition they are in -

I think the point is to mobilize the population. Russians say you can't have mass tyranny without mass enthusiasm.

However, although I don't think a nuke attack by NK is likely any time soon, I think an attack by one of their mini-subs upon a SK, Japanese, or U.S. target is. When that happens, will Pakistanis support N. Korea or not?

Pakistanis (the government/army) has enough problems at the moment at home so it would rather not indulge in happenings in Krean peninsula on the other end of the continent!

Anyways, why did you think that Pakistanis might be interested? What would be our benefit in it?

Any incident like that would worsen the current state of affairs, and if the situation escalates, it will result into deaths of thousands (or more) of Koreans!

Highlighted part precisely indicates that they will only push US & it's allies to certain extent. Even though rhetoric is directed towards US, aggression will only be against SK. At the most we can expect a repeat incident of 2010 when N.Korean torpedo sank S. Korean navy ship. However pressure from South Korean public will be too much this time around for the govt not to act against this aggression, should there be any. Afterall we had a more conservative president last time around in SK.. still they were unable to respond. However this time it's very unlikely that S.Koreans will hold themselves back. & is NK regime clever enough to understand that?

On the contrary, given the current "state of war" an attack that does not exceed the 2010 incident in destructiveness would be interpreted as weakness not only by foreigners but by the NK populace itself.

They HAD those relationships. Point is, its all past.
No, those missile designs are not the foundation of Pakistan's missile force. Rather, they formed the initial MRBM-based nuclear force. China's solid-fueled missiles formed that foundation.
