None of us had dinner after India defeat: Mashrafe Mortaza

SRINAGAR: Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza has revealed that he and his team-mates skipped dinner after their gut-wrenching one-run defeat against India in the recently concluded World T20.

Mortaza, who is holidaying in Kashmir, interacted with the local youngsters.

"We were very upset with that defeat. None of us had dinner that evening. Losing is a part of the game and we did not want to lose that match," Mortaza was quoted as saying by a local website, when a local boy asked about Bangladesh not being able to score two runs off the last three balls during their group league encounter against India.

It was a chance encounter for the locals with the Bangladeshi captain as he stopped by at a village on Srinagar-Sonamarg road on Sunday.

On his way back to summer capital (Srinagar) from Sonamarg, he saw a few youngsters playing cricket at Kullan. Mortaza stopped the vehicle and met the players," the website report stated.

The seamer gave some tips to the young players and even displayed his skills by bowling a few deliveries.

i don't know why bangladeshis take them as aussies. 4 times world champs. they played some street cricket in that match. it was some sub standard bowling by the indian in last over and all of the bangla batsmen couldn't score on full toss deliveries.

1.Like our team many in BD and our diaspora did not have dinner that night. But we know Indians will not be able to cheat for ever.

2. Good show by Mashraffe to reitrate our support and prayers for the Kashmiri FFs.

Once again !

Every goof up is someone else's doing !!

is it the habit of bangladeshis to blame "cheating" for all of their defeats? its juast a game of cricket, better take it as that, whether you win or lose its neither a big accomplishment nor a big loss.

and whatever you said about kashmiris, let me tell you that muslims alone are not only kashmiris, there are sizeble number of hindus sikhs and buddhist also, also there are lakhs and lakhs of kashmiri pandits who were driven out of their homes by muslim terrorists. if some country wants kashimir it will have to fight India first and then a civil war in kashmir.

the way things are now, no foreign country will have to fight India to free Kashmir.

On that night and the day after there were a strange atmosphere of silence in BD.Whoever were present in the country could feel that. Many stop watching the remaining match.

Let us hope such foolish ness is not repeated again by Bangladesh

We in India know that we won a game which we did nt deserve to win

And 99 out of 100 Times a team will win ; when it has to make only 2 runs in THREE balls
