None of us had dinner after India defeat: Mashrafe Mortaza

SRINAGAR: Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza has revealed that he and his team-mates skipped dinner after their gut-wrenching one-run defeat against India in the recently concluded World T20.

Mortaza, who is holidaying in Kashmir, interacted with the local youngsters.

"We were very upset with that defeat. None of us had dinner that evening. Losing is a part of the game and we did not want to lose that match," Mortaza was quoted as saying by a local website, when a local boy asked about Bangladesh not being able to score two runs off the last three balls during their group league encounter against India.

It was a chance encounter for the locals with the Bangladeshi captain as he stopped by at a village on Srinagar-Sonamarg road on Sunday.

On his way back to summer capital (Srinagar) from Sonamarg, he saw a few youngsters playing cricket at Kullan. Mortaza stopped the vehicle and met the players," the website report stated.

The seamer gave some tips to the young players and even displayed his skills by bowling a few deliveries.

If the Bangladesh Cricketer learned from this defeat then they have won...

Now all cricketers must realize that glory can be achieved from taking a single rather than going for a boundary.

Here is a food of thought..

“In the dust of defeat as well as the laurels of victory there is a glory to be found if one has done his best.”

Eric Liddell

Mortaza is an excellent RAW agent, very good at handling media, now doing good work in Kashmir also.
He gone there to express soliderity with the freedom loving Kashmiri people under Indian occupation.RAW is sleeping........

Very bad , reflects poorly on their attitude. They are acting as if they lost half the country, just a case of misplaced priorities. Fair or unfair , things will even out over period of time why bother about a single match?

For a fast growing nation there should many other things that should keep them occupied. They should learn from India we no longer are bothered when our hockey teams get thrashed or cricket team fails spectacularly on overseas tours. We just move on just as if it is another day.

Proof that match was fixed and he was promised kashmir in return but we deceived him by just giving him a holiday.:enjoy:

I just hope he doesn't retire soon, we need his leadership for another 5 years at least! One of the greatest captains ever!

No dinner? Is that all?

Obviously he did not take losing the game seriously enough.

"Didn't have dinner'- the great sacrifice of our age.
