Bro,
Perhaps that is true. However, US needs to give 'military action' against Taliban another try; inaction will not stop them or force them to negotiation table.
US is incredibly resourceful but it needs a clear-cut Afghan policy in order to reshape its future. Problem is that US continues to focus on developments in Middle East and has not taken Afghan front as seriously as it should. And then we are subjected to blame-game.
Both US and Pakistan need to sort this matter with renewed terms of engagement. I hope this happens in a positive way.
With 20T loan and ticking up every day how much motivation the US policy makers have is another question!!!! And, they can't simply leave either, nor can they win!!!! It looks like a dilemma that can't be solved!!!!US military is capable of defeating any foe in the battlefield. Problem is that they were never took Afghanistan seriously. They paid more attention to the Middle East then Afghanistan.
They are taking ZERO action against recent advances of Taliban. And some of them are blaming Pakistan for it. Sometimes I wonder WTF is wrong with US.
This isn't the US of WW2 era which was determined to go to any lengths to win the war no matter the odds, and the entire nation was united behind such effort.
We see a US today that is politically conflicted (internally) and not interested in winning its wars. Obama administration was arguably the worst thing happen to US in recent years and many Americans don't realize it.
They did achieve notable successes in Iraq and Libya but they have no vision for Afghanistan. Hopefully, Trump administration will address this matter in adequate manner.
Time for US to demonstrate renewed commitment to Afghan front and do its part in eradicating forces of terrorism in the region. Pakistan cannot do it alone and neither we should be held responsible for mess in Afghanistan.
Pakistani COAS should tell the Americans in plain words that they need to get their act together in Afghanistan and do the needful. Pakistan will offer assistance but no backstabbing and scheming this time.
The Zionist Deep State in the US, do not wish to eradicate terrorism but support it like they did in Syria and Libya for their strategic goals.US military is capable of defeating any foe in the battlefield. Problem is that they were never took Afghanistan seriously. They paid more attention to the Middle East then Afghanistan.
