No intention of lifting ban on TLP, declares PM Imran Khan

The French ambassador needs to go. We shouldn't really be bothered with EU reaction. If they wants to support France they are free to leave Pakistan. These blackmailers can do whatever they like. Pakistan needs to make a firm statement here. France started the offensive cartoons and we are going to finish it now. Enough is enough. LOL Macron the bigot has gone quite. Notice how his last move has backfired. Macron thought he could make an impact by removing some cultural department within his embassy LOL

It's funny how "nationalist" and "patriotic" someone can be when living in another country..... Indeed you should maybe go back to Pakistan and protest there to demand the departure of the French ambassador.....

Or you expect Pakistanis living in Pakistan to act as canon fodder for your fantasies..... while sitting safely in the Netherlands...

Why should he? He's taking advantage of economic opportunity. Your ancestors didn't consider their Christian morality when stealing from Africa and Asia - at least he is earning whatever he is, rather than taking at by force and through brutality. Europeans are in no position to lecture anyone on morality.

There are tens of millions of Pakistani's, sat in Pakistan saying the same thing. His opinion is not invalidated by his geographical location. We are not in Europe to be European - we are in Europe to take advantage of the economic opportunities. We will also take full advantage of the rights that citizenship within European countries give us.

Your country is working very hard to create conditions where the Algerians and other Africans will leave in order to practice their faith freely. Unfortunately you'll never get rid of the Africans in your country - many of them couldn't care less. They know if they stay long enough there will be enough of them to turn the political tide. It's of your own making - they can't leave, their lives would be even worse in Africa because of the legacy of your leaching. Try as you may - they will hang on.

I only point out his hypocrisy I have witnessed on this forum for YEARS.

And you can keep your typical victim mindset to yourself, always accusing others of your economic woes, try to question yourselves first of why your countries are poor, corrupt, mismanadged and under developed, this is surely not because you were "looted".

no, it's because you left your stooges in charge and when they don't favour you, you replace them. France is responsible for 54 different coups in West Africa. Your stooges create environments where we cannot succeed. You only need to look at the success of migrants in free societies to see what we are capable of. Even the most uneducated, semi skilled British Pakistani lives a better quality of life than the equivalent White Briton.

Also it is not hypocrisy. Like i said, we are in foreign countries for economic interest only. We have not become disloyal to our state or our faith to do so.

Sorry! it is called surrender only. The way handled the situation by Imran.

In 1st place, they should not have done any agreement behind the door. If they did, they should have adhered to the agreement. If unable to do it then should not be taken the hard actions against own people.

If decided to take hard action after banning and adding to a terrorist group. They should have trashed the organization so that they will never interfere in foreign policy.

Should not Imran khan gave the statement that they can not go against the France and EU (Alone).

The next Day, after taking the U-turn, and agreed on the same agreement.

Sign of weakness:
1. Behind the door agreement with maulvis.
2. Unable to fulfill the commitments (because of possible France and EU actions).
3. After the statement of Imran khan, the next day - surrendered to maulvi and back to point 1 - the same agreement.

The way handled the situation by Imran Khan, shows that how immature is he and can not face criticism. It has happened with the same trade incident with India. first, he allowed and the next day took the U-turn after criticism.

Relax... You don't know how things work in Pakistan. It's all about adherence and accomodation. They won't get trashed as your Hindutva wet dreams wish. They will get assimilated.

ISLAMABAD: Motorcyclists make their way through an opening on the road as municipal workers begin removing shipping containers placed near the Faizabad interchange after the authorities reached an understanding with the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan on Tuesday.—Online
• TLP calls off protest after agreement with government
• Minister says cases registered against activists of banned outfit under Fourth Schedule to be withdrawn
• Prison department yet to receive order for release of Rizvi, others

ISLAMABAD/ LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday made it clear that the government had no intention of lifting a ban on the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), hours after the banned outfit called off its protests following the signing of an agreement with the government on submission of a resolution to the National Assembly about expulsion of the French ambassador.
The prime minister said the TLP would have to approach the court of law for lifting of the ban imposed by the government last week when the banned outfit staged countrywide violent demonstrations demanding eviction of the French ambassador over blasphemous caricatures.
PM Khan took the decision while presiding over a meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) parliamentary party, soon after the government claimed that it had “successful rounds of dialogue” with the TLP.

A source, who was present in the meeting, told Dawn that the prime minister was of the view that if Pakistan expelled the French ambassador, there might be a strong reaction from the European Union (EU) and Pakistan’s 27 ambassadors in western countries could be repatriated.
The prime minister said every Muslim loved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and could not bear his disrespect, but the way of condemnation by the government was quite different from that of the TLP. Mr Khan was quoted as saying: “No one can claim that he loves Prophet Muhammad more than anyone else.”
The prime minister said the western countries would not come under any pressure unless the whole Muslim ummah jointly condemned the act of blasphemy and made the West realise that it was not the issue of “freedom of speech” but harming the sentiments of billions of Muslims around the world. He said he would lead a campaign in which the heads of all Muslim states would jointly force the West to stop blasphemy of the Prophet.
Another participant said the meeting had agreed that the government would not lift ban on the LTP and the latter would have to file an appeal in a court to get the ban lifted.

“We cannot lift the ban now as it is a legal matter,” a minister, who did not want to be named, said when reminded that the ban was imposed by the interior ministry, and not by any court of law. He said the prime minister feared that if the French ambassador was sent back, the future of millions of Pakistani workers in the West would be on stake. “Similarly, our trade with the West and European states will be severed.”
A participant of the meeting said the TLP was called a banned outfit throughout the meeting. “We called them kaladam (proscribed),” she added.
TLP calls off protest
Earlier, declaring the submission of the resolution to the National Assembly as historic victory for the TLP, the central shura of the banned outfit called off its protest movement and ended sit-in at its headquarters in Lahore, clearing the venue and the city after eight days of violence and blockades.

In a video statement, the shura members said that since the resolution had been presented in the National Assembly, they were winding up their protest camps. They appealed to their workers to stay peaceful and ignore [social media] rumours.
“The TLP leadership is in negotiations with the government and progress is being made on all the issues,” the statement said, adding that it was time for peace and workers should stay peaceful.
After the announcement, the TLP workers started returning home, clearing Multan Road — one of the main arteries of the city — after eight days of blockade.
In the morning, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed announced that the proscribed TLP had agreed to call off protests across the country. “Talks with the TLP [on other than already agreed] are going on,” he said in a video statement after the agreement.

As per the agreement, he said, the government would present a resolution on expulsion of the French ambassador in the National Assembly and the assembly session had been convened. The cases registered against TLP workers under the Fourth Schedule would also be withdrawn, he said, adding that he would hold a press conference on the matter.
No written agreement, however, was shared with the media nor made public by the either side. By the evening, execution of the agreement [withdrawal of cases under Fourth Schedule] generated some doubts when neither TLP chief Saad Hussain Rizvi nor any of his colleagues were released. The prison department official said in the afternoon they were told to make necessary arrangements for the release of Saad Rizvi, but no “written word” followed.
A high-up of the home department told Dawn that they had “neither received any instructions on his [Saad Rizvi] release nor on over 3,000 TLP workers held in different districts of the province”.
About the potential release of TLP leaders and workers, he said: “Some of them are held under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) section that jails the culprit for 30 days. Others were charged with and held on terrorism charges and FIRs were lodged against them. Releasing them would require a lengthy legal process that may take days, if not weeks, and when the process starts. There are, however, no official instructions so far to even start the process.”
Late in evening, Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry said the government could release the people held under the MPO because it was entitled to do so. “But how can those booked under murder charges and terrorism be released by the government? They need legal proceedings and only court can do so.”

The minister insisted that the current status of the TLP was of a banned organisation and it had to face all those conditions that a proscribed party faced.

It is funny that you are still around on PDF. Didn't you promise to leave? Changed your mind? :yahoo:Aren't you the same guy who told us that human rights only exists in words and that your own country doesn't actually practice human rights? Isn't that hypocrisy of the first order? I cannot believe that a guy like you can taunt others about anything.

Everyone in Pakistan is demanding the departure of an ambassador belonging to a hateful nation. You belong to a country that openly hates Muslims and Islam. Your nation ridicules the holy prophet PBUH by drawing hateful sketches and your pedo leader Macron approves it openly in broad daylight. Then you beg Islamic nations not to boycott your products after a severe backlash. Subsequently you change your tune and pretend you weren't offending Islam LOL Who do you think you are kidding?

The Netherlands is my country. Get used to it. I was born here and I will die here. So will my children and their children. There is nothing you can do about that. LOL at safely. Pakistan is much safer than most Western capitals nowadays. Get off your high horse French frog. Entire Europe despises France. A hateful nationalistic country that only thinks about itself. Why do you even speak English? Isn't that a sin where you come from?

The only hypocrite here is you. Hating Muslims to satisfy your ego.
so when are you coming back to Pakistan to mobilize commoners on street and face consequences by your self ??

I don't have to. PM IK is doing a wonderful job. The fact that our PM is challenging Islamophobia and bigroty is something I cherish. So should you.

India is getting 10% vote in Pakistani elections. at this point Pakistan might as well merge back.

We were never part of India. So stop your wet dreams. India was never in history a unified Republic... It was always a region of independent warring princely states.

well then instead of merging *back*, just merge the usual way. the main point was that Indian sponsored entities are getting 10% vote in Pakistani elections and wide spread support in main population centres of Pakistan.
