No good info on bin Laden for years: CIA's Panetta

Or maybe he is in whitehouse enjoying tea party as Iran's President Ahmadinejad says.:coffee:
most probable one!:undecided:

So in essence, she said: I don't know anything but I'm guessing someone knows something about someone because someone is bound to know something that someone does not know, even if that someone is me........................
she gave this statement to someone when she visited Pakistan!!

He is trying to justify the large sum he had been earning as his salary but not doing anything about OBL.

It is highest guess work ever made in last 4 centuries.

CIA - well done. ----------- Learn something from Pak Police....:)

Some accuse Pakistanis of believing in folklores and legends. However this whole business of Osama being alive, hiding at place X, etc, really takes the cake.

Last time he was in Iran?
Looks like UBL is on a world tour.

Wat a schmuck(cia guy)

Osama in deep hiding in Pakistan tribal area: CIA chief

Osama in deep hiding in Pakistan tribal area: CIA chief WASHINGTON: It has been years since the United States has had good intelligence on the whereabouts of Al Qaeda leader Osama bin laden, although he is thought to be in Pakistan, CIA director Leon Panetta said on Sunday.

He also gave a sobering account of the war in Afghanistan, saying the Taliban seemed to be strengthening with a stepped-up campaign of violence, even as U.S.-led forces undermine the Islamist movement with attacks on its leadership.

Progress is being made in the nearly nine-year-old conflict but "it's harder, it's slower than I think anyone anticipated," Panetta said on program of a foreign news channel. He did not directly answer a question about whether the war was being won.

A harsh spotlight was thrown on the U.S. strategy last week when President Barack Obama fired General Stanley McChrystal as his top commander in Afghanistan and replaced him with General David Petraeus.

Now U.S. lawmakers from both parties are demanding more answers about the war's progress. Some will be putting these questions to Petraeus at his confirmation hearing on Tuesday.

Not since "the early 2000s" have U.S. officials had "the last precise information about where he (bin Laden) might be located," Panetta said.

"Since then, it's been very difficult to get any intelligence on his exact location," Panetta said. "He is, as is obvious, in very deep hiding ... He's in an area of the tribal areas of Pakistan."

Denying the world's most wanted man safe haven on the lawless Afghanistan-Pakistan border has been an aim of Western policy since the September 11 attacks in 2001, when the Taliban in effect spurned a U.S. demand to hand over the al Qaeda chief.

Panetta said the United States still believed it could ultimately "flush out" bin Laden, noting it had already "taken down" more than half of al Qaeda's leadership.

In recent months, the CIA has ramped up the pace of unmanned drone strikes in the tribal areas of Pakistan that border Afghanistan, targeting not only high-level al Qaeda and Taliban targets but unknown foot soldiers as well.

Taliban militants, Panetta said, "with regards to some of the directed violence, they seem to be stronger. But the fact is, we are undermining their leadership and that I think is moving in the right direction."

He said a Taliban leader who was dressed as a woman was killed over the weekend in a military operation.

Violence in Afghanistan is at its worst since the war began in late 2001, with the Taliban stepping up suicide bombings and assassinations, particularly in their Kandahar heartland.

Some 80 foreign soldiers have been killed so far in June, making it the deadliest month ever for international forces. More than 300 troops have been killed this year compared with about 520 for all of 2009.

Panetta said the key to success was not just in U.S. and allied efforts but whether Afghan security forces will be able to take over and maintain stability.

"This is not going to be easy," he said. "It is going to take the Afghan army and police to be able to accept the responsibility that we pass on to them."

Panetta said he had not seen any firm intelligence that there was a real interest in reconciliation among al Qaeda, the Taliban or the Haqqani network, a faction of the Afghan Taliban.

No, OBL is a reality, he was the heir to the multi million dollar Bin Laden empire but got involved in financing the mujahideen in the Russo-Afghan war, after that, he turned on America.

Osama bin Laden is hiding in tribal areas of Pakistan: CIA

WASHINGTON: World's most wanted terrorist Osama bin Laden is hiding in Pakistan's rugged tribal areas, CIA chief said, even as he claimed that the al-Qaida is probably at its weakest point since 9/11 with only 60-100 militants left in Afghanistan.

"I think the estimate on the number of al-Qaida (in Afghanistan) is actually relatively small. I think at most, we're looking at maybe 60 to 100, maybe less. It's in that vicinity. There's no question that the main location of al-Qaida is in tribal areas of Pakistan," CIA director Leon Panetta, told ABC News in an interview.

Panetta said the al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden is in deep hiding in the tribal areas of Pakistan, but did not give any further details.

"He is, as is obvious, in very deep hiding. He's in the tribal areas in Pakistan that is very difficult. The terrain is probably the most difficult in the world," he said.

"That's all we know, that he's located in that vicinity. The terrain is very difficult. He obviously has tremendous security around him," Panetta said.

"I think what's happened is that the more we put pressure on the al-Qaida leadership in the tribal areas in Pakistan and I would say that as a result of our operations, that the Taliban (al-Qaida) leadership is probably at its weakest point since 9/11 and their escape from Afghanistan into Pakistan," he said.

But having said that, the more we continue to disrupt al-Qaida's operations, and we are engaged in the most aggressive operations in the history of the CIA in that part of the world, and the result is that we are disrupting their leadership, he added.

We've taken down more than half of their Taliban leadership, of their al-Qaida leadership and we just took down number three in their leadership a few weeks ago, he said.

We continue to disrupt them. We continue to impact on their command-and- control and the NATO forces continue to impact on their ability to plan attacks in this country, Panetta said.

If we keep that pressure on, we think ultimately we can flush out bin Laden and Ayman-al-Zawahiri and get after them, Panetta said. It has been a while that Panetta has intelligence on Osama, he said.

"I think it almost goes back to the early 2000s, that in terms of actually when he was moving from Afghanistan to Pakistan, that we had the last precise information about where he might be located.

Since then, it's been very difficult to get any intelligence on his exact location," he said.

Chronicles of Abu Abdul Samad: Osama bin laden, the un-told story

The game of politics is a game of trickery and lust for authority. You cannot judge things on their face values. Friends of today may not be friends in deed and enemies may not be enemies in fact. Thomas Hobbs and other realist thinkers rightly pointed towards the selfish nature of human being and his lust for power. History repeats it self as it’s the story of unchangeable human nature. Nations and states are made up of a human that’s why they behave in similar manner as an individual human behaves. A study of human history exposes the cruel, greedy and deceitful human nature and mans fight with his fellows to prove he is absolute.
Few years ago I read a novel, “Wild Justice” written by Wilbur Smith. Its story revolved around a terrorist who left his signature “Caliph” where ever he commits his terror acts. World intelligence agencies and intellectuals considers this “caliph” and his group as Middle Eastern in origin because of his signature but in the end it is revealed that the Mossad and CIA are running this operation and an officer in Mossad is code worded as caliph for the benefit of global capitalism.
While researching on profile and activities of Osama bin Laden for my project in final semester of my Masters degree, the “caliph” of Wilber Smith’s “Wild Justice” came to my mind due to many resemblances and the story of Osama and American and Western War against terrorism became easy for me to understand.
Thanks to Osama bin laden, world is ripe for neo-liberal forces and threats to neoliberalism are being neutralized very effectively. Indeed Osama is a hero but for the coming western generations. The way he look after their interests no one did through out in history.
The war on terror became synonymous to “Wild justice’ when in 2005 a news article from Turkish Governments news Paper ZAMAN passed through my eyes which revealed that Turkish intelligence captured Al-Quaida number 5th in Europe and after interrogating came to conclusion that
“Turkish intelligence specialists agree that there is no such organization as al-Qaeda. Rather, Al-Qaeda is the name of a secret service operation. The concept “fighting terror” is the background of the “low-intensity-warfare” conducted in the mono-polar world order. The subject of this strategy of tension is named as “al-Qaeda [1].”
It was due to courtesy of Osama bin Laden and his AL QUAIDA that when America and west got angry with Sudan due to nationalizing of its oil assets and giving contracts of its oil wells for exploitation to Chinese which in past were in European hands Mr. Osama came forward and along with his alike created conditions ripe for “American and International Humanitarian intervention” in strategic “horn of Africa” and after few years for attacks on Khartoum’s alleged chemical weapon factory in order to force General Omer al Bashier’s government to change its mind.
Similarly when Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan gas pipeline project was conceived Mr. Osama bin laden courteously moved to Afghanistan in order to help out Unocol if “barbarian” Taliban dares to refuse American offers. He very courteously helped America and west to eliminate Iranian influence in Afghanistan and courteously helped in Hazara genocide in Bamiyan and Tajik genocide in Mazar-e- Sharif.
Further more he helped Bush regime in its dream of transformation of American defenses for making it the greatest super power ever by attacking World Trade center and Pentagon.

“…the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor...” [2]
AFP a French news agency surprised the world when it gave a news on 30 October 2001 about OSAMA bin laden who went to Dubai for treatment in American Hospital for treatment in July 2001 and was met by CIA operative who went to US after meeting not to return back[3]
It’s an interesting fact in public Bush regime always abuse and hate Osama bin Laden but in reality cares a lot for him as he is the greatest “strategic asset’ American NeoCons. That is why US forces very courteously gave time to Osama to escape from Torabora and according to coalition forces twice they were stopped by “higher authorities” when they sighted Osama and were going to Attack and kill him.[4]
Similarly when Damadolla was attacked by American drone in 2006 and many innocent people were killed Mr. Osama’s heroic deputy Dr. Aiman al Zawaheri came forward with statement to justify American claims that he was there but left before the attack.
Similarly when Iraq became quagmire for American and allied forces Al-Quaida jumped in and started a sectarian civil war to take away pressure from American forces.
At present when American NeoCons and Arab allies together with Israel are planning a showdown with Iran Al-Quaida and its off shoots are fully coordinating with them. Weather its terrorist actions in Iranian Balochistan and Siestan OR IRANIAN KURDISTAN OR KHUZISTAN by Al-Quaida related Militants against Iranian forces or intelligence gathering by them for Americans. According to Seymour Hearsh revelations that the American NeoCon regime and their allies are financing and equipping Sunni and al Quaida related militants to neutralize the Hezbollah and Syrian regime with understanding with Saudi Arab who have assured this time it will control the islamists[5]. Al Quaida and its off shoots are proving to be strategic asset in American hands.
It’s also interesting to note American and Zionist sponsored president of Palestinian authority, Mahmood Abbas who dissolved the Hamas government on un-Justifiable charges according to wishes of Zionists and Bush regime was very courteously backed indirectly by Aiman Al Zawaheri, Mr. Osama’s chief lieutenant by giving statement in favor of Hamas.
From these few important examples from thousands which appeared in media it becomes clear that where ever and when ever the Bush regime comes under criticism Osama and his deputies come forward to justify American actions.
Recent leaking of news that Osama is hiding in K-2 Region by Al Arabia TV is asking many questions from us, why at the time when Pakistan is slipping away from American hand this news came out? Is it an effort to blackmail the new government because at such a height and with know kidney problems how can OBL survive there? Now it is duty of world citizenry not to bank on capitalist media, who presented an evil tool of Neocon policy for achieving its interests as a Muslim Godfather and grossly equated the Muslims with these blood thirsty fanatics. It’s also a must need for the Ummah to educate them selves and learn to differentiate between friends and enemies. Muslims will keep on suffering unless they educate them selves and start thinking with their minds not with their emotions. History never forgives and soon the real identity of this actual life “caliph” of this real life drama will be revealed.
