ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday could not digest the blunt stance on Kashmir by his Pakistani counterpart Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and left the SAARC conference without attending the last session.

Rajnath Singh felt displeased after Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan candidly advocated the issue of peace in Indian-held Kashmir during addressing a one-day meeting of home ministers from countries belonging to South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc).

Nisar at one point outrightly said that there is a difference between terrorism and struggle for freedom probably referring to the uprising in Kashmir.

“The violence being committed against the innocent people of Indian Kashmir is open terrorism,” Nisar said during his extempore address as Pakistan’s interior minister.

The Indian delegation led by Rajnath Singh left the meeting and did not talk to media at the airport as well.

According to multiple media reports, a strong stance of Pakistan over regional peace and especially Kashmir made it difficult for Rajnath Singh to carry on with the meeting and he took his way to New Delhi.

Earlier, the minister left his seat of speaker to address all issues point by point raised by home ministers of the member countries.

“We have always wished to work in close cooperation with all our neighbours and we believe all pending issues can be addressed through dialogue.”

Khan went on to claim that Pakistan suffered heavy losses in the fight against terrorism and the country condemned every single incident of terror which claimed innocent lives.

The interior minister’s remarks come in the backdrop of escalating tensions between the nuclear-armed rivals over unrest in disputed Kashmir.

As per Indian media reports, the ongoing strain in Indo-Pak relations was evident at the SAARC interior/home ministers’ conference when home minister Rajnath Singh came face-to-face with Chaudhary Nisar for the first time the two leaders barely shook hands.

New Delhi on the other hand alleged that Pakistan blacked out Rajnath Singh’s address at the SAARC home ministers’ meet.

. . .
They want freedom and they deserve freedom. We must support them. Freedom is constitutional right of American, Indians and people of Pakistan. Similarly it is the right of people of kashmir. It is basic human right. Give them what they want and win them through love.

.
Rajnath's only statement was, stop comparing "good" & "bad" terrorism. If a person kills somebody with guns, doesn't matter if he/she is fighting got freedom, religion or food he/she is a terrorist. As simple as that.

And Nisar only said this and it was too much of truth for a morally corrupt guy like Rajnath to accept.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, in response, lambasted the "use of excessive force" to suppress protests in held Kashmir, without naming the Indian government.

“Using torture against innocent children and violence against civilians qualifies as terrorism,” said the minister, adding that there was a need to end an “extremist” mindset and instead try to solve regional issues with dialogue.

“Terrorism is the buzzword in the world nowadays. No country should try to crush a freedom struggle and camouflage it under the guise of terrorism.”

Nisar reiterated the Kashmiri freedom struggle is sanctified by United Nations resolutions.

Oh, Alright. Then you'll agree that the Indian forces who have been killing Kashmiri protesters with guns are also terrorists. Going, of course, by your (or your minister's) definition?

That time is not far when Kashmiris will shove this article into the A$$ of Modi, Rajnath and their likes and breathe in free Air.

The way they have screwed Indain forces and have shut down everything for a month now just for killing one of their Hero clearly shows indian future in Kashmir.

Kashmir can't be integral part of india through use of force. Its not easy to command people on gun point. If you can't respect the will of people don't expect them do something good .

use of force is the beginning of disintegration of india

You should before see rajnath statement

Which blocked by official for record

"Home Minister Rajnath Singh's speech in Islamabad, which delivered forceful messages on terrorism, was not broadcast by local media and Indian crews were not permitted to film it."

"This is the Pakistan model of democracy," retorted union minister Venkaiah Naidu in Delhi, where the Home Minister returned this evening from a tense two-day visit next door replete with rebuffs from Pakistan.

The Home Minister was attending a session of SAARC, which brings together eight South Asian countries, and he used his address to further India's complaint of Pakistan inciting the recent unrest in Kashmir which has left at least 50 people in dead in clashes that began with last month's shooting of 22-year-old terrorist Burhan Wani by security forces.

"In no circumstances should terrorists beeulogised as martyrs" the Home Minister said, challenging Pakistan for lionizing Wani and calling protest marches against his killing. Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has repeatedly expressed his regret about Wani's death.

Later, his Pakistani counterpart Nisar Ali Khan said: "We have seen brute force against unarmed civilians. Shouldn't suppress freedom struggle in the name of fight against terror."

Sources in Delhi said "a blackout" of the speech is a misleading description and that conventionally, speeches at SAARC summits are not filmed, except for the opening remarks. But tension was a consistent theme. Mr Singh and Mr Khan did not shake hands, and neither of them attended a lunch for the SAARC visitors.

Meanwhile, the home minister also briefed PM Narendra Modi on his Pakistan visit.

Mr Singh's visit - the first by an Indian leader after Pakistani terrorists attacked the air force base in Pathankot, killing seven military personnel - was important, Delhi had said, because it was for a regional multi-lateral summit and not bilateral talks with Pakistan at a time of highly strained relations. As Mr Singh landed in Islamabad, the Pakistani Prime Minister baited India with new provocative statements about "a freedom movement in Kashmir."

Then, anti-India protests were allowed in Islamabad and other cities, featuring terrorists like Hizbul Mujahideen's Syed Salahuddin and Hafiz Saeed, founder of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, who masterminded the deadly 26/11 attack on Mumbai in which 166 people were killed.
