Nowshehra: As many as nine US made land to air missiles were recovered during digging in Jalozai camp here in District Nowshehra of Pakistan’s province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to The News Tribe correspondent, the affected persons found a missile when they were digging ground in phase 6 of Jalozai camp, upon this they rushed to Jalozai police post and informed the local police about the incident. Meanwhile, heavy contingent of police reached the spot and surrounded the area. They further dig the ground and recovered eight more missiles, taking them under their control. The police officials told our correspondent that land to air missiles were American- manufactured and were given to Afghan groups by America during Afghan-Soviet war. “Afghan commander buried the missiles under the ground when they were leaving Jalozai camp.” The authorities have cordoned off the area because of the possibility of more number of missiles been recovered from the area. It is not confirmed if they WERE anti aircraft stingers.
They are described as "old" , " Rusted" rockets.
EVEN if they are stingers (which is highly UN-probable), they will be useless many years ago.
The sensors and batteries would be long dead !

They are described as "old" , " Rusted" rockets.
EVEN if they are stingers (which is highly UN-probable), they will be useless many years ago.

they were shells, it was reported on geo and i saw it.they reported that shells were not empty and contained explosive material.

These terrorists are way different and unique than their known definition among us.
Smugglers, target killers, kidnappers, dacoits, murderers all merge together and operate. When a gang of more brutal ones move to an area, the residents criminals join them and work under their umberlla. Then there are ideological and psy warfare branches (latter especially found in TTP) who either write/publish and distribute their literature (read twisted definitions/ideology) among local people or they work on induction and mental training (read brainwashing) for terrorism.

The explosives found in such incidents are mostly linked up with the larger group of terrorists operating in that area.

^^pakistan kept most of the stingers they were supposed to give afghans. pakistan received 500 stingers to give to afghans and only gave them 50 or so and kept the rest.
