The newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka, His Excellency Mr. Wu Jianghao paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama, at the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters this morning; 24 July 2012.

The Commander and the Ambassador engaged in a discussion on matters of mutual interest and the Commander wished him a very successful and rewarding tenure in Sri Lanka

New Chinese Ambassador calls on Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy

Chinese Ambassador His Excellency Wu Jianghao called on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake at the Naval Headquarters on 23rd July 2012. They held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interests and bilateral importance. Mementoes were also exchanged to mark the occasion.

New Chinese Ambassador Calls on Army Chief

The newly-accredited Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Mr Wu Jianghao on Thursday (19) morning paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya at Army Headquarters.

Mr Wu Jianghao during his cordial interaction with the Army Chief exchanged views on military matters of bilateral importance and ever-strengthening relations between both the armies, with special focus on award of training programmes to Sri Lankan military officers.

Mr Wu Jianghao recalled continuing historic relations between both military organizations for centuries and underlined the importance of sustenance of such understanding and cooperation.

Towards the end of the interaction, both Commander of the Army and the visiting diplomat symbolized the meeting by way of exchange of mementos. Before the ambassador’s exit, he left his signature in the VIP book at the Commander’s office as a formality.
