Taimur was actually Ghauri based liquid fuel missile and during Mushrraf time engine tests happen but due to faulty guidance system of Ghauri Gen Musharraf cancel this project and later all Ghauri missiles Guidance system replaced by NESCOM.

Taimur was 4500Kms range missile and we have achieve this range with solid fuel more accurate missiles although Govt reluctant to disclosed actual range of our missiles.

We don't have any plans to test or field ICBM class missile, neither we have any ongoing program to build one, Yes tech is their to develop but why we need ICBM when our economy is weak and we need west's support to grow....why we need to harass them so they put sanctions on us? why we need to become North Korea where only regime can eat 3 meals a day but rest of the population really eats grass.
Gen Musharraf cancelled the project by saying that to Dr. Qadeer you wants to destroy Israel? we don't have such intentions...we don't need that missile.
