New tax in Pak could make screening of Indian films expensive

nobody is talking about what is going on in Pakistan.

Samjhita express trian was in India and Indian Hindu terrorists attacked it and killed Pakistanis.

First of all, there is no proof that it was done by "Hindu terrorists".

Second, no Indians are coming and killing Pakistanis in Pakistan.

As far as the action is concerned we are working on it. When all the related material is there the process will take just like India is trying to start the same process in Sikh Genocide in 84 at the hands of Hindu terrorists.

Don't get unrelated stuff that has nothing to do with the topic. Just like the hundreds of thousands of Pushtuns killed in Pakistan (including in Karachi in 2007) have nothing to do with it.

Pakistan had been allowing Indian movies even in the 80s despite Indian state terrorism in 71. Pakistanis had been watching Indian movies even Zia era so it has nothing to do with enemy country .

watching Indian movies doesnt mean that we should not or we cannot criticise its quality.

Star plus cheap dramas are liked across Pakistan does it mean it is a quality product?

1. i am talking about the condition of cinemas and those who go to these here in my country i would like to go to a good western cinema but not the paan laden/ smoking one here
2. indeed its a different experience but here cinemas are in shambles so dont offer better deal than DVDs/cable and tv.

3. The local film industry can only get support of Cinema goers if it is trying to become a quality one. ours is not the one and hence even cinema houses cant help them.

well, if you are living in small town it could be an issue.
But what you are saying about quality is typical chicken and egg problem which bollywood/hollywood could have solved.
There has been revival of marathi/kannada movie industry due to multiplexes. Multiplexes allow producers to take risk and experiment and give a better quality product for discerning viewers (as they dont have pressure of village audience)

And people will build multiplexes in cities only if it is profitable.

It is not about the tax but the pathetic obsession about and denigration of Indian movies etc. that I am talking of.
