New tax in Pak could make screening of Indian films expensive

No culture developed in Pakistan to watch movies in Cinema hall or Multiplex because they don't like Lollywood movies and Bollywood movie was banned with widespread piracy business.

In India, watching movies has actually become a pleasant experience over the last decade.

Neat and modern multiplexes have changed the whole experience of watching movies. From online ticketing to small theaters inside shopping malls with plenty of dining options.

It is much more expensive but now people can actually enjoy movies with families and with no hassles.

Looks like the same thing didn't happen in Pakistan, going by the comments on this thread.

The number of cinema halls decreased in Pakistan over the year, by 2007 there were only 139 cinema halls left in entire Pakistan(70 cinemas in Punjab, 54 in Sindh/Balochistan and 15 in KPK). Until the 80s, there were more than 750 cinemas in Pakistan.

Drinking is shown as negative aspect, what could be the replacement for alcohal. As I mentioned lots of drinking caused health complications to Devdas which ultimately causing the death. He had to die before Paro home in the climax.

Bollywood's Devdas both by Dilip Kumar and Shakrukh Khan are considered masterpieces.

There are many Hindi movies based on famous Nobels.

You forget the Kundan Lal Sehgal who first act in DEVDAS and his popularity was lot time higher than both above superstars.

Do you think you can export your cheap made Bollywood pictures elsewhere? so best solution is feeding your hungry people with your excellent Bollywood production....

Can you check the HDI of your country first, before making such comments

Protectionism never helped anyone.

This would simple mean people would tunnel proxies and watch Bollywood flicks online,so anyone wants to set up a website for the same should do so immediately and earn ad revenue.
