Yes, its a good start but there is no country in the world who's sanctions may be compared to Pakistan.
Iran has gas money and it had all the good relationship with Russia and Europe, with money you can buy even from US.
Now is the high time of sanctions for Iran and it still managed to buy missiles from Ukraine by bribing the agents and supplier and anti missile defence system from Russia, recently there was some big deal with chinese also, I don't remember what it was.
Iran is a rich country and can twist his sanctions when ever it wish.

Iran is very Lucky it has oil and natural gas reserves and strong poltical partners such as Russia and China on it's side to provide a buffer for sanctions. Pakistan never had such favourable circumstances, to give you an Idea of how Pakistan was sanctioned Senior American diplomat said "Pakistan was sanctioned to the eye balls". China wasn't a major player back then and Pakistan was never in the Russian camp.Nor did Pakistan have any vast mineral wealth to speak off. The other wetern nations naturally left Pakistan high and dry. It's a testament to Pakistan's hard work and shere dedication through all the turbulence that Pakistan today has a viable Arms Industry and has gained respectable amounts of Indeginisation. Hopefully Iran can also Improve the quality of their Indegenous productions in the future.
