2. What I do for a living:

> I work for an MNC.

> Transitioned from IMF.

> Like to keep up with matters around the world, their military and technological growth.

> I am a Data Center Engineer.

> To have my own start-up sometime soon & retire to be a farmer.

this is not new but re-introduction. I left a few months back as it was getting monotonous and boring with the mods developing some sort of dissonance. It was wonderful to then focus on my projects which is now done, so thought I'll take another look. Hope all of you had a happy Diwali and hopefully we get the vaccines made available to all soon

Future plans: Going with flow.. Desire to master technical analysis of charts, I am good in indicating trends earlier so maybe stock market will get my interest

Good evening everyone on this breezy Abu Dhabi night

1) Tell your interests
- Cooking (I started a restaurant business with my friends)
- Drawing (I am told i am gifted )
- Calligraphy - Mostly Arabic and also English
- Gaming (about an hour a week only since i married and have 3 kids Al hamdulilah)
- Skyscrapers, which is why i decided to major in Civil engineering
- Real estate (buying apartments and renting them out)
- Travelling and eating !

2) What do you do
- Manager of a team of engineers in the beautiful city of Abu Dhabi

3) How did you find us
- I used to visit this website on and off over a decade ago , then forgot all about it. Something triggered my memory lately so i decided i would register this time around

4) What interests you here?
- I am quite clueless, yet very interested in history of wars and everything related to wars. So what better place to be to learn more about it and especially weaponry

5) What is your profession?
- Manager of a team of engineers

6) Future plans?
- Be a real-estate mogul and run a family business

Skyscrapers are obsolete. Most construction should be horizontal rather than vertical. A horizontal city with wide roads, gardens and the roads being set reasonably away from the buildings would be less life-threatening in case of earthquake and fire. I believe the Nepal earthquake of 2015 would have caused lesser casualties if the areas had been built scientifically like I described.

The UAE is not exactly earthquake prone and doesn't lie on any major fault lines to experience a big enough earthquake that could bring down skyscrapers built over here. The technology is amazing (see L.A and Tokyo) and buildings can withstand some of the biggest earthquakes. However, if its a major one , it will most probably flatten both vertical and horizontal cities alike.

I might love skyscrapers , but as I get older , i find myself leaning towards horizontal growth too
