TVS decided to focus on going green at the 2012 Auto Expo and displayed their new green technologies.
Perhaps the most significant technology they unveiled was the new automatic transmission that they have developed entirely in house. The transmission is a continuous variable transmission or CVT and is designed to enhance fuel efficiency by as much as 20 per cent. It maximises engine performance and peak efficiency by overriding the clutch. TVS currently has a patent pending for this particular technology.
Also displayed at the TVS stall were the TVS Sport, TVS Torma, TVS Radio and TVS Qube. The TVS Qube features an upgraded electric hybrid motor and has a switchable power mode, floating LCD display as well as regenerative brakes. How's that for going green?!
