He is an independent film producer not a major Hollywood studio filmmaker. He's lucky if his films make $200M. Meanwhile top studio films easily cross $200M and many over $1B.

That's how he got away with it...by saying "do this" to some aspiring ~22 year old actress (like Gwyneth Paltrow who probably couldn't get a foot in the door at a big name studio) he could make them a star. This is why going to some sleazy independent company that rarely makes a movie that breaks $20M is not a smart idea. This is the realm just above where Adult Film makers operate.

I bet she's upset. She has been in numerous Weinstein movies in her early career. Many of Quentin Tarantino's early Independent movies like 1994's "Pulp Fiction" were funded in part by Weinstein.

All I said was he has never been running any of the major/top production studios in Hollywood (Disney, Warner, Fox, Universal, Sony, Paramount) which is what people think about when "Hollywood" is mentioned. They generate probably 95% of all movie revenue.

Those women claimed this happened in the mid 1990's before they were big stars. Gwyneth Paltrow in 1994 (age 22) and Angelina Jolie around 1998 (age 23). This stuff didn't happen last year...these women are now multimillionaires.

I bet Uma Thurman is going to name his "honeypot" women accomplices. He had women lure young actresses to hotel rooms.
