Netaji Subash Chandra Bose documentary

bhartis are liars and cheats.....neta chandar bose was hitler's best friend,he was picked from the coast of mumbai by a nazi u-boat and was smuggled into germany...he also had tea onboard u-boat... and yet indians also call israel their best friend..
if indians love him so much why did they made chacha gandhi the father of nation and not chandar boss.

You troll.... why don't you shut your mouth if you have not been taught history in school?

1) Netaji was never picked up by u-boats from Mumbai. Mumbai was UK territory back then Mr. genius. He escaped from the toilet of his jail cell, went to Iran through Afghanistan, then to Moscow. USSR was not in war during this time with Nazi Germany. Infact, Stalin was helping Hitler. He was flown from Moskova to Berlin.

2) He sided with the Axis and not Hitler. (Again your history lessons are to be blamed). Did he killed Jews? Did he fight USSR? He did what any patriot would do. What about Finland siding with Germany? Do you know that USSR/USA/UK still respect the Finns even when they sided with Hitler? It was because they were attacked by the massive USSR first. They had to defend themselves and hence did what was required.

3) Believe it or not, there were atleast 10,000 Muslims from present day Pakistan in Netaji's Azad hind fauj and Indische legion which was formed in Germany. These people were POW from the North African campaign and then Burma/ Singapore, etc. Rommel recognised the bravery and patriotism in these Indians and he discussed with hitler to form an Indian battle group. Hence Indische Legion was formed. Google about Radio Delhi. It was run by an Indian Muslim (present day Pakistan) and he was aligned with Netaji. The radio was based in Berlin and started around 1942.

Trolls will always remain trolls :hitwall:

I like the attitude of Netaji's daughter Anita, being a daughter of such a great freedom fighter of India she can easily dominate the politics of whole of West Bengal (which is larger than Austria where she resides currently) if not Whole of India as technically she is an Indian unlike some others, she knows this very well but still she has avoided it & just come to India to meet people here & know her father more.

SALUTE to u ma'am

I think hating someone just because he happened to be a Hindu is outright wrong. Otherwise he would be called a hero like Tipu Sultan. He fought those Britons, those foreign colonialists and there can be nothing better than that. He received support from Japan and Germany but anyone with half a brain would use the support of allies to make a mark rather than being a total failure though I got to admit his Indian army got beaten pretty bad. But proves that we were always willing imperial tools.

I think supporting the Germans was a good move. They even supported revolts against the British-our (Pakistani) Pashtun tribes received support from them and these flags are said to be made by them:

Afridi flag:

Yousafzai flag:

Khattak flag:

There are said to be many more (at least 9) and the level of sophistication (without computers i might add) suggests they were made in Germany. So taking help from a possible ally is nothing wrong. Hitler may be a murderer... but basically losers never write history... so you won't hear about the massacres the British committed here.

If Chandra Bose received foreign help then it a right move. I wish we had had the balls to make Japan victorious (Asian power rather than European) instead of sticking to British.

Ever heard of the dictum "the enemy of my enemy is my friend' little insect? No you wouldn't, if you were literate enough to understand strategy and political dynamics, you would understand why he chose to seek help from Britain's enemies, instead of touching yourself to the philosophy of putting down anything that smacks of 'bharti-ism' or the Indian freedom movement, which surprise surprise, your forefathers were a part of.

Subhashchandar Bose along with Baghat Singh was a brand of liberation that did not sit well with the mainstream political will of British India at the time. That much is true. As to the argument of Pakistani or Indian nationalism, well, it is messy. Technically at the time of Bose and Singh partition was not yet a reality so their motivation for their actions is, at best, doubtful: was it for everyone inhabiting the Sub-Continent or just Indians remains a conjecture for debate. Personally, I would like to point out the fact that both Bose and Singh laid down their lives for their fellow countrymen and that in itself is admirable and what they wanted was an exit of the British. So let's read more before we start painting them with orange-white-and-green stripes or green-and-white stripes.

At least he fought the British. It was also obscure what Tipu Sultan actually wanted. But his will to struggle against oppression is what is known about him and makes him a hero. All of India with the exception of fanatics like @KS and @fateh71 basically admire him... and lets not forget words like India in those times did not even exist in its national sense while the word Pakistan had not even been coined. So by what logic we link tipu sultan to Pakistan when he was the ruler of a southern indian kingdom?

Why can't we admire chandra bose if the Indians accept Tipu Sultan? As far as the fight against the British is concerned its our fight... its not India's, Pakistan's or someone else fight and we can't turn it into that... it was the fight of oppressed people against colonial occupation and that is our basic, fundamental right. Lets support his freedom struggle.

And it has developed deep religious overtones... :) Muslims promote him as a hero... Hindus show mixed reactions, some frowning down at him and others appreciating him for his fight against the British. Yet in Indian history he doesn't figure with people like Bhagat Singh and Chandra bose despite his struggle. He also fought the Marathas which may not go down well with mumbaiyakars.

I feel it has become an issue of a religiously and ethnically polarized society in both nations... our leaders, our heroes and people that inspire us have to be from our sect, ethnic group etc... in this case our religious group. Its very much the same for Chandra Bose though about him there isn't even any evidence of having slaughtered minorities.

I don't see any religious polarisation in this.

There are enough muslim freedom fighters revered in India.

If Tipu had spend more time fighting british and less time with his religious bigotries and expansionist policies against neighbours he too would have been respected by all.
