Nepal: India fears China, Khurshid admits 12 point was India making

On 10 December, 2012, Hindu India’s Muslim Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid made an interesting observation on China.

By all means his statement that ‘India must accept China's growing presence in its own backyard’ took analysts in the neighborhood by surprise.

Khurshid Miyan is an old hater of China, as far as Nepali analysts understand him.

"We will have to accept the new reality of China's presence in many areas that we consider an exclusive playground for India and its friends,” Khurshid said while addressing a program in New Delhi.

He wants Indian hegemony. His intents are malevolent.

Since its independence from the British imperialists, India has transformed Nepal into its playground. The result is there for all to see, claim matured observers.

Why the British India Company left Hindustan? They should have remained forever.

Khurshid went further ahead in praising China when he said, "China is aggressive. China is a partner for us. China is a neighbor for us... the real creativity in India's foreign policy will come in being able to combine the strengths of China with the strengths of India," he said.

Khurshid on 16, December, 2012 was asked by media as to which territorial dispute with China or trust deficit with Pakistan was a bigger challenge for India?

He replied, “China is a major concern for India than Pakistan (on economic ground and as far as security matters are concerned).”

Inferiority complex.

“China is also a constant reminder to us that we got to put our economy at the right track. We can pretend that China is not there. But China is there and unless we put our economy on the right track it is going to overwhelm us completely. So China is a major concern and Pakistan, in a significant way is a concern but not a major concern”.

Comparative analysis is not that bad.

Addressing a press meet December 21, 2012 after the conclusion of India-ASEAN Memorial Summit in New Delhi, the Indian foreign minister was asked if India was concerned over the intense competition it is facing in the Nepali market with the Chinese products. His response was, “India never wanted to block its neighbors from having trade or any sort of relation with any third country. India is concerned about its relation with its neighbor, but not bothered about neighbor’s relation with third country.”

A white lie.

The fact is that India doesn’t want to see the presence of any third country in Nepal.

When asked to comment on the state of deteriorated politics in Nepal, he claimed that India will not play the role that it played at time of the signing of the 12 Point agreement.

That it had played comes to the fore though in a belated manner.

“India would not play the role akin to one it did during the 12-point agreement signed between the political parties of Nepal”, mercifully told Khurshid Miyan.

In saying so Khurshid does accept that India’s policy on Nepal was erratic.Late repentance.

India didn't lose the Influence on Nepal but fear to see China gain influence at the same time, China has never ask Nepal to be create problem for India but India is trying to impose on Nepal and anger Nepaleses and make them to tilt even more toward China.

When a paid chicom in Nepal is going to write an article, the end piece will look exactly like the one in OP. No surprises!!

His frustration is visible in the article when he said - Why Britishers left India? I guess this guy missed the school altogether to not know the reasons and the fact that they didn't go themselves they were made to leave.

Another funny thing is the writer, in his paid obsession for China, is talking about complexes while reading the external affairs minister statements regarding threat perceptions of the country and its relation vis a vis friendly neighboring countries. What? If some one talks about the threats one see it becomes inferiority complex. Since when? Is this what is taught in Mao ideology based schools?

He seems to have a lot of issue with India's influence over Nepal and the tone of the article shows how frustrated he is. But thing is - All countries uses their influence to get things set up in their favor. That's Niti and there is nothing wrong with it.

India and China is a BRICS partner. They should behave like an ally.

In my opinion, India should stop and eliminate any Western propaganda influence in their media, who played divide and conquer tactic between India and China. Just visit Times of India and read China section there, a lot of negative and anti-Chinese news.

India should have independent media, free from Western influence. Westerners want to see a war between India and China, because it's good for them.
