If he had believed in secularism, he wouldn't have advocated partition on the basis of religion.........
BD was was concieaved as an islamic state originally........
and as far as I know true legality for secularism never came to BD,not even after 71.....

Bangladesh for the most part is secular.

It is really funny to see how jaat paat manifested Indians are making all the childish comment. Not surprisingly this radical extremist hindu majority country where riot, oppressing the minorities, discrimination against them and treating the 350 million dalits as lower human being there peace should be the last thing that one can assume...

Not surprising this dirt poor India secured the 142 nd position out of 158 countries which is one of the lowest in the world whereas nepal secured 80th position and Bangladesh 91st... more then 50 position ahead of this jaat paat manifested India...

Yeah completely agree. They should have also added another parameter to the study, called "Would Bangladesh exist today without India" or would the Bangladeshis (Bengalees) be completely raped and exterminated from Bangladesh thanks to the Punjabis in Pakistan

If Bangali were being raped and exterminated for 9 months long, after 16 dec, 1971 it extended for until now 41 years long. Geography is man made, it wasn't based on any divine law. So, existence of a specific nation will be evolving with time as it was always, 100 years ago this same Bangali existed not on current map.

I surely am reluctant to have the answer as I believe being neutral (your id) with indian flag on earth isn't possible and it could only be possible in hell when one indian will be crying saying "i'm not indian, let me in heaven".

Just the word "secularism" was put in 1976 in the Preamble of Indian Constitution. Now Preamble as such has no binding on a Govt. It was the very constitution that was passed in 1949 that uphold India as a secular nation. So it's not about the word Secularism, it's more of a Spirit that matters.
