Nepal, Bangladesh growth to top India, China

No Westerners are not locked up in their own houses and not going out. Already schools and shops are starting to open up in most European countries.

Europe has been slowly lifting lockdown since April and certain European countries like France and Norway have already said there will be no 2nd lockdown as they cannot afford the social and economic damage.

This is a disease that preys on very old(70+) people and/or those with pre-existing medical conditions. Worse case they will be shielded while the rest of the population goes back to normal.
You are talking if the Pandemic goes away and I am talking if it remains as it is or goes out of hand. Unless a sure vaccine is found the disease will ruin everything gradually. There can also be a fresh lockdown if the situation requires so.

How as it does not kill at least 99% of all people?
80% of infected people have no or mild symptoms.

Covid-19 is not the bubonic plague.

Covid-19 is not the bubonic plague.
At the time of Bubonic plague in mid-1300s killed 25 million people but it was a time when westerners have not yet developed the exact medicine to cure it.

During the last 700 years after that the world has become awash with medical innovations and inventions. Yet, it is unable to invent the correct vaccines against Corona. No one really knows the future. One can project the future on the basis of only the present situation which is still dark.

In any case, the subject is BD GDP growth which I believe will be negative next fiscal even if it receives order in November.

.
By November of 2020, there should be a vaccine, hopefully anyway.
2021 is a typing mistake. Please correct it to 2020 November. So, it receives order in November and starts supplying goods for the next Spring season of 2021.

If this happens, BD will supply for only the Spring and Summer periods when our next Fiscal ends in 2021 June. So, the time is too short (January to June 2021 six months) not to cause a negative growth. However, 2021-2022 FY will see a vast improvement of the dismal situation.

The Covid - 19 crisis, governments handling of the situation, the battered economy, completion of mega projects will all have alot of influence on the outcome of the 2023 elections.

And given Sheikh Hasina will not contest the elections, only makes the topic all that more contentious.

Of course, this is considering that the 2023 election will be fair and I have reason to believe it will.

A new chapter of Bangladesh's nationhood will begin post 2023 general elections. Sheikh Hadina's absence will be felt.

All you said is hypothetical. I have heard Hasina wants to remain the great PM of BD until it is 2041. She once said her grandfather Sk. Lutfar Rahman lived until a ripe age of ninety something and she is qualified to live at that time.

So, I expect her to live and by this period I expect foreign borrowing to the tune of $300 billion to build many prestige projects above the ground level. Ask me why above the GL? It is because her Prestige projects must have to seen by people who can then take photographs and praise her. This is why she is not willing to solve the issue of water logging in Dhaka.

It will start soon this year you can see how horrific it is. But, Hasina will not fix it because it is not to be seen above the GL. However, I feel it is a most pressing issue for a country that wants to portray itself as part of civilized world.

She will not contest the 2023 elections.....

I will hold her to her own words..... Because the alternative is going to very very ugly

The Bangladeshi people are very patient with her, however it's best if their patience isn't strenuously tested for long periods.

As with anything even the most patient beings can crack under pressure....

Do not you think BDR Pilkhana carnage will hunt her if she leaves the stage? I have a personal feeling Pilkhana was orchestrated by her goons in Jubo League and Chatro League. I have seen photographs with a few BDR Jawans with long hair and ill-fitting Urdis. They were leaning at one side while standing. They are certainly not BDR Jawans.

Anyway, let us see what happens. Do you expect Taposh to replace her?

She is untouchable, even if BNP under khaleda wins which is impossible for multiple reasons, they will not dare to touch Hasina.

We will know what happened in Pilkhana, someday we will.

Even if the elections are rigged, to make the elections convincing one needs political clout and a political capital.

Who is this Taposh, he's a literal nobody, he isn't and never will be leadership material, same goes for Tarek Rahman and Hasina's children.

BAL have three choices really, barring her kids and Taposh as stated above,

x - Obaidul Quader MP and BAL general secretary

x - Abdul Momen Foreign minister and career diplomat (allegedly)

x - Mustafa Kamal Finance minister and Ex ICC chairman

Realistically, these three are the only ones who have what it takes to contest and win an election.

And let's not forget BNP will come at them hard, in the event of a fair election, fielding either Mirza Fakhrul or Kamal Hossain.

And don't underestimate a wild card entry who may shock us all : Muhammad Yunus.

However, I will prefer Obaidul Qader. He means business as a minister. Look at all the roads and highways under construction or have been built. Muhammad Yunus no more than a greedy money lender unfit to rule a country although somehow for odd reasons he has earned an international fame.

This is politics, being greedy is a given and a way of life for these people.

Having said that lets give credit where it's due, Grameen Bank and by extension Muhammad Yunus and his concept of micro credit have pulled a lot of people especially women out of extreme poverty.

I would prefer Mustafa Kamal from BAL and Mirza Fakhrul from BNP.

NEW DELHI: Amid a sea of sharp contractions across economies around the globe, one country stands out: the tiny Caribbean nation of Guyana, which according to the World Bank's latest Global Economic Prospects report, is forecast to grow by 51.1% in 2020-21 - fuelled by the beginning of oil production in an offshore field.

Egypt, Benin, Ethiopia and Uganda are forecast to grow at 3% to 3.2%. Vietnam
is likely to grow at 2.8%. Bangladesh 1.6%, Myanmar 1.5%, Nepal 1.8% and Bhutan 1.6% are seen remaining above the contraction level south Asia, as a whole, is expected to experience.

China is projected to slow to 1% in 2020 - by far the lowest growth it has registered in more than four decades. It is estimated the Indian economy will contract by 3.2% due to the impact of the strict lockdown.

Guyana's economy is projected to expand dramatically this year as phase 1 oil production of the offshore Liza oil field comes online and phase 2 development begins.

Business has been increasing slowly but steadily in the last few weeks. Demand for essential clothing will grow better over fancy clothing as life returns to a normal pace.
