More vociferation against the establishment and army by PMLN guys when Nawaz Sharif served as a Chief Minister under Zia and the PMLN was nurtured by Aslam. Lots of fun. Its amazing how ignorant our country is and how all polls are in favour of Nawaz Sharif.

Funny how PPP and PMLN guys dare to talk about democracy and blame the army when a simple look at the past will reveal how they came to the top.

Once I saw Sheikh Rasheed (I never knew he was Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who broke the country ka pittoo-lost a lot of respect for him) talking about the 70 elections. He said he was talking to ZAB and he ZAB asked him what would happen in the election, will I win? Sheikh Rasheed said he would get a minority and not an outright majority. ZAB got angry and called the waiters in the restaurant where they were sitting. Everyone said he would sweep the elections (as if they would say anything else in front of a man who threatened to break the legs of Bengalis because their crime was that they voted.)

He actually dared to say that PPP won... swept the election. I wonder where his brain was when he made that statement. In 1970 PPP lost the election to the Awami League led by Mujib Ur Rehman. What a liar. And guess what happened after that. Yahya Khan, instead of letting Awami League form the cabinet and stuff he illegally declared PPP the government and began attacking the Bengalis.

That my friend is an example of army support, but such facts do not lodge themselves in the minds of PMLN thugs because their mind is a putrid gutter.... its lid opens when their mouth opens.

a typical GHQ stance. Politicians ko galiyan daina, Ilzam tarashiyan. Since 1947, GHQ rule this country for more than 32 years "OFFICIALLY", GHQ never ever bother to go to the courts, with the proofs GHQ has, to make sure / prove these politicians are guilty and sentenced

KARACHI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani Saturday said that Pakistan today was passing through a very critical phase of its history.

“Increasingly complex external environment and our rather precarious internal dynamics have created a myriad of security challenges,” Gen Kayani said while addressing the 98th Midshipmen Commissioning term and 7th SSC Officers class, comprising a total of 118 officers who got commissioned at Pakistan Naval Academy PNS Rahbar, upon completion of rigorous training.

The COAS said,” Today, we are pitched against an amorphous enemy when the conventional threat has also grown manifold.”

This spectrum of threats can be defeated through collective national efforts in which the armed forces indeed have a pivotal role to play in harmony with other instruments of the state, he added.

General Kayani added that under the prevailing scenario, a potent and modern navy was indispensable to thwart the challenges to the country’s sovereignty in the maritime domain.

It is becoming increasingly important to build up and rely on our own strength. It is heartening to see that Pakistan Navy is rapidly developing its indigenous capability and pursuing it with greater vigour than ever before, he added.

He urged the commissioning officers to keep the interests of the state and the service on top priority and never let their personal feelings stand in the way to their commitment to the national duty bestowed upon them.

He also felicitated the officers upon successful completion of their training and wished them exciting, challenging and sacred career ahead.

Earlier on his arrival, the COAS was received by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of senior officers from three services, officers from civil services and diplomats including parents and relatives of the commissioning officers.
