For those who says nuclear test nawaz sharif ne karwaya

Nawaz sharif ka pait kharab hojaye tou establishment aur dhamaka hojaye tou nawaz sharif lol

.
I don't know why this is even news. Yes then PMLN government did not want to conduct the test but were under tremendous pressure to do so. Benazir even threw bangles during a public meeting saying that Nawaz should wear them if he cannot respond to India. After that both of them fought on who was responsible for making Pakistan an atomic power.

.
So Army went with the test but strangely army withdraws from Winning position from Kargil on orders of same NS ? For Sheikh Rasheed his own admission and credibility

Schrodinger’s Nawaz sharif, supposedly so meek that he’s overruled by the army on nuke tests, yet so powerful he forces a retreat from Kargil while we were supposedly winning. Also so weak that he’s forced to return to Pakistan to face imprisonment, yet so powerful he fakes illness and gets to run away, that too without paying a penny of the 5, 10, 20 etc billion USD he supposedly has.

That's the cover story.

Nawaz was beckoned to go to the US on an emergency basis at the behest of panicked generals. You see, when the Indians began mobilizing troops in the region, when bofors guns had arrived which Musharraf never anticipated, when casualties began to mount on our side and blood soaked ambulances and choppers were arriving in field hospitals, when IAF Mirages were given free reign to bomb our positions, when Indians lobbed smoke shells on our positions forcing men out of their positions into open air followed by airburst munitions... we had little to no response.

And of course how could we respond effectively? Our official stance due to the wisdom of Musharraf and his band of fools was that these were Mujahideen non-state actors, Pakistani state and army was not involved. Why and how would we step in to a conflict across LoC into Indian held side for the sake people who supposedly weren't Pakistani troops? Indians also prepared for this by deploying elsewhere, there was a looming threat of escalation.

Already other army commanders began protesting and airing concerns, when truth finally came out. Musharraf's gang of four were in a state of panic. Lt Gen Mahmud Ahmed approached some of these other generals, they gave him a thorough dressing down and rapprochement. Tololing had just fallen to the Indians at this time, Musharraf's narrative is a complete lie. It was in the first few days of July that Musharraf and his gang of four desperately beseeched Nawaz to go to the US and to get Clinton to mediate.

If Pakistan was losing so badly then why would US force Pakistan to retreat? A lot of information you have against Pakistan military have similarity with Indian propaganda.

https://www.brookings.edu/blog/orde...1999-kargil-conflict-redefined-us-india-ties/

When the U.S. determined that Pakistan had deliberately violated the Line of Control near Kargil, Clinton did not hesitate to blame Pakistan for risking a broader war. For the first time, an American administration was siding publicly with India against Pakistani aggression. The Pakistani generals who had planned the Kargil incursion, led by Pervez Musharraf, had badly misread the likely American reaction.

Sharif insisted on a summit in Washington with Clinton on July 4, 1999. Clinton was adamant that Pakistani troops had to withdraw to their old positions behind the Line of Control. If not, Washington would blame Pakistan for the war. He warned Sharif that he would also speak out about Pakistan’s coddling of al-Qaida and Osama bin Laden. The American intelligence community had told the president that Pakistan was flirting with nuclear war. It was perhaps the most important and intense meeting of his presidency. The normally soft negotiator who usually sought compromise was tough and firm. I had never seen him more concentrated.

Yaar I don't meant to be so dismissive of you, but you should read a little bit more about Kargil (from sources other than Musharraf). Heck read Kaiser Tufail's blog to get a picture.

We (and this includes Musharraf, despite his lies) asked the US to mediate. Even China wasn't backing us diplomatically at this time. Musharraf disputes this and says that his forces were in the ascendancy, he lied, we had just lost Tololing (one of the most strategically important) a few days before Nawaz arrived in Washington at the behest of Musharraf. Things were dire, and our army commanders were incredibly angered by the likes of Musharraf and Mahmud. Even years later some of them quietly grumbled about kargil and what a disaster it was.

Of course... Even China refused to support us diplomatically, we were snubbed by them because what was done was mad, and ill-conceived. We crossed the LoC unprovoked (construed as an act of war), captured peaks and then engaged Indians. At this time, the majority of the armed forces had no clue what was going on, no consultation of the air force for example, in order to gauge their ability to defend if necessary against IAF etc, stupidly planned. Then when we got ourselves in a bad situation, and were unable to respond, what were expecting from the Americans? Was Clinton really going to tell the Indians to stand down and allow us to hold Kargil heights? Musharraf is a liar, and a shameless one. Even his lies have no internal consistency and logic, please don't fall for it, he has convinced the nation through brazen propaganda.

If we crossed LoC and captured their territory, how the heck wouldn't we blamed for the Kargil conflict? As for the rest, I don't know why you're going on this tangent. We instigated a conflict between two nuclear armed nations, the shock of which the world was still dealing with, then when things went wrong the perpetrators themselves asked for intervention.

Note: You also asked why my version of events sounds like the Indian version. That's because compared to the cover story by Musharraf and the propaganda, the Indian story is more accurate. Drawing a parallel to Feb 27, the opposite happen recently compared to then, the Indians lied again and again to cover their failures. We did the same in Kargil. Many members incl. myself have made the contrast between Feb 27 and Kargil. One side started a conflict unprovoked, underestimated the enemy, started limited action but unwittingly allowed all the credibility and diplomatic sympathy to shift to the other side, and allowed the other side to escalate and respond militarily on their own terms. Our NLI fought like lions, and this is attested by Indian's own accounts too, but their poor planners let them down, especially the shameless wretch Musharraf.
