Whether they retracted it or their link is bad is another matter, but I do not see anything wrong with TaimiKhan posting the article. Focus on refuting the news, not attacking the poster.

The point of arguments.

1) If this was true it would have been all over the news especially in Tamil papers.

2) Another Forum member did a google search and he found nothing.

3) How come a blog is a reliable source for news? This however is an exception for the blogs of authors/ ex -military servicemen.

4) Despite of posting news from crediable Indian media I was booed saying that Indian media is a liar. Here there is not a single media link for the above claims.

Also this was entirely unncecessary for a demand of a crediable source.

All you Indians posting rubbish instead of clarifying the news item themselves, kindly do some net searching & then come here and post idiotic comments.

Since you dug up the story....I mean it didnt seem like a big enough incident tp show up in any of our newspapers but somehow you found it, indicates that you must've scavaged for negative news about India....but anyways.....

Why dont you tell us Indians what should we get out of this report??....what kind of comments are you expecting from us?

Taimi , Do mind your language here , we all have loads of testosterone flowing in us , but we indians like to use them at the RIGHT place ,the battle field , not in the blogs and threads( like a pu**y)..... what do U know about thinking positive? Just think for yourself which country is more foerward? take any field , we are miles ahed of U guys , be it technology or medicianal fields.....

There is NO accusation games been played taimi. and yes the lads were only asking you abt the link ... and the other guy there said , hes frm tamil nadu and he did not heard any news? so were did u heard it from? Indians dont start `stupid` comments... if U think sane comments with perfectly fine humble thoughts are `Stupid` then its YOU who have a problem...
If technology ,medical fecilities , space programmes are NOT the bench mark of a country how developed it is , so DO tell me what is it ? how many civilians die each day? no stable govt? more suicide bombings going?

Point being, the Asian age appears to have carried the story, and then either retracted it or the link doesn't work.

TaimiKhan mentioned that he read it from those two sources (blog and asianage) - now what should have happened, instead of smart *** comments, was that the lack of a valid link could have been pointed out with civility, and end of issue once acknowledged.

Bashing the poster for no apparent fault of his own (he did not make the asianage post the news and then retract it), is counterproductive.
