Naval Tejas New Pictures of Night Trials

what is the operational status of N LCA compared to LCA??
The N-LCA will never enter operational service. What we see here (NP-2) and NP-1 are technology demonstrators for the IN and ADA to validate carrier optimised fighter designs and control logic. This knowledge will pay dividends for the next generation of heavy(ier) naval fighters that India designs in the future.

The LCA( AF version) is to enter service this year.

Bhaiyo mujhe ek baat samaj me nahi aa rahi ADA or HAL why they are not completing the FOC of IAF and start working on NLCA
The IAF and IN LCA projects are entirely de-linked

N-LCA will enter service with IAC-1, along with the MIG 29Ks. NP3+(NLCA Mark 2) models are close the the production model.

The navy is thinking long term, it wants to depend on a home grown solution in the long run. Though NLCA isnt ideal, they know it'll lead to something much better. Why the navy helped fund the LCA production line, helped fund the NLCA program, and why it's actually involved in the AMCA program as well.

That means in 2018 ? While seeing the the progress of tests , I thought they will be inducted soon . BTW, whats the production capability of HAL / year .. be it LCA or NLCA ? ( excluding the assumption of private players )

It wont be ready for 2018. But it'll a part of IACs airwing when ready. I cant remember what HAL was gradually going to regarding the production.

Just remembering an advertisement of Youtube offline . They were pitching that buffering is not (only) there fault !

The N-LCA will be used more as a carrier trainer similar to the T-45 with the USN.

It is a VERY important part of the IN's future growth as it will build invaluable experience and know how for the ADA and them. It's utility as an operational carrier fighter will be limited though and it is likely to be deployed extensively at sea.

The single seater, fighter jet will also be used.
